If I may barge in. I never added an [Enter] because I didn't know if it would work. I could've tried I guess... Hmm lemme think... Why not separate the stats with capital i's or l's?
Ninja'd. I just read the whole damn thing and actually tried to understand what everybody was talking about. Sorry. I don't think that ^ is a good idea... it sort of points somewhere... it doesn't seem like a good "divider".
I'm trying to figure out how to put a description like the one below into long_description.mes directly from World Builder and I can't seem to do it. Is the file being edited by hand now, or is there a secret way to do this in World Builder? {4800}{A bastard sword is about 4 feet in length, making it too large to use in one handwithout special training; thus, it is an exotic weapon. You can use a bastard sword two-handed as a martial weapon. I think WB let's you assign programs to use to open various file types, but there's no real need to edit any ToEE text file (dlg, mes) within WB. Just open it with Notepad and edit it. In your case, you'd put your data in chronological order exactly as it appears and click save. Done. [edit] Oh wait, you probably mean within the proto browser function? There's no way to input the data that way which will result in it displaying properly, no, so just do it in Notepad. That's what I've always done. (The WB way is suitable for anything that doesn't involve a carriage return, so single lines like in description.mes or a single descriptive line for long_description.mes will work fine.)
Yes, I've been adding in long descriptions with Carriage Returns (like the one in my post above), which as you said you can't do in WB. So I just put them in with notepad pretty easilly. You just have to be careful not to "Save All" in World Builder WHILE you are editing the long_description.mes or it will overwrite your work.
