As it is obvious, I am a newbie on this forum

But I've played TOEE from the time it was released

Imagine my surprise when I've downloaded co8 mod 5.5.0, and started from the shop :)

Playing, I came on new areas (something via Moa's orb with lots of orcs), and a guy selling new weapons in Nulb (also had mauqvai:)))))
    Anyway, this is my question:
    --------------
Could anybody please link me or direct me where I can read what new areas, ideas, quests etc there are in this mod?

Please note that I've never played anything but normal TOEE, so every change is new to me (meaning "this is new in version 5.5.0"). I would like input on everything new, from version 1.0

I was browsing trough forum, but it is SO much to read and process, answer, questions, fragments (because people commenting now what is going on :)

    Thank you very much :))))))))))

    Of course, young grasshoppa...

Start with these. These are sticky threads, always at the top of the threads list and will never move because they have info that the developers give you that are noteworthy, most of the time. :poke:

    http://www.co8.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6699

    and

    http://www.co8.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6717

    and

just about every thread listed under the sticky threads called "normal threads", if there is such a thing. Everyone talks about ToEE in the Co8 modpack perspective generally, but sometimes you get the stray rebel that wants info on "vanilla" ToEE. :D

I think at this very moment in time, it is safe to say that everything you read will be about the 5.5 modpack, unless it specifically states it's for another mod, such as Keep On The Borderlands and The Tales Of The Wild Coast.

Check the release notes in your ToEE folder (\docs_Co8 5.5.0\Circle of Eight Modpack 5.5.0 - Release Notes.txt). It's all summarized there.

A quick list of major new areas and events. Note this is probably not complete, I am sure I will leave something out somewhere

    1. Welkwood Bog (currently empty, will be populated in a later release of the mod.)
    2. Big Three Ambush
    3. Orc Cave Prespawn
    4. Verbobonc
    5. Moathouse Respawn
    6. Hickory Branch
    7. Desperate Housewives (currently in the 5.0 mod but not the 5.5 Beta.)

Oldest one where? When I was born, the flag had only 48 stars. (We hadn't conquered Australia or something.) ;)

And sugar gliders. Don't forget the sugar gliders. A lot of chicks over here like to have them as pets, as well as slow loris'.

Me too. I was born before PONG was, lol. Before d&d became...a thing. *sigh* I wish we could just go back to those infinitely better times.

Wow! I used to use the PET in the Microcomputer Club at A&M. It was easy to design games for it. Load them on to an audiocassette, and you were ready to go! ;)

Ted, it already happened. Notice which side of the road you drive on... :gotmyatte

I once saw a cage at the zoo that had a bunch of sugar gliders and a very TIRED looking slow loris. I think it was San Antonio.

Driving on the left, owned an 8-bit, 8kb computer (not a PET: later, I skipped the VIC-20 all together & updgraded to a C-64), and I had no idea what a slow loris was til I used Wikipedia.

I thought you meant slow loris. Not that I've ever seen one - lorikeets are quick little devils when they want to be.
