I had Rufus in my group. After visiting the Temple, ever map load triggered him to say he had to leave and got o Verbobonc. But he never left, and Verbobonc never appeared on the locations list on the right of my map (I know it wont appear on the map itself). I had loaded patch 3, then reloaded patch 2 to erase (a friend's reco). Any thoughts? Thanks and LUV the Co8 mod!
Well, I would think that 'loading' patches 3 and 2 would revert huge amounts of the game (like Rufus' dlg) to what is found in patch 2. Try reactivating your Co8 mod.
Around 'loading'? I dunno. Good question :shrug: Nothing rude meant, I assure you. I was probably thinking that 'installing' would have been more accurate, or something.
ok, so its obvious Im not an expert at technical terms... anyhoo.... after reinstalling (underline 3 times) patches 1 & 2, the game then had some bugs (500 magic missiles at once??!!) and I lost the opening TOEE store. So, I then uninstalled & re-installed TOEE, re-installed patches 1 & 2 and re-extracted Co8 mod but still have the same problem. I noticed that characters I created in the mod were still there, so do I need to uninstall and reinstall the mod also (instead of just extract) Thanks
Oohh, that's not good.... :twitch: You need to do a clean sweep of all folders. Relying just on the "Uninstall" option alone won't do it. You'll also need to go into "Add/Remove Programs" and delete any/all Atari and ToEE folders there. After that, reinstall according to the strict directions. Don't get frustrated, all of us veterans here have gone through this process many times. You get quite good at it after awhile! Any you can get LOADS of help here! :thumbsup:
Thanks guys for your help. I did as Emirkol suggested (prior to Gaear's post)... wiped everything and reinstalled, and now its working fine. but yes Gaear, what you pointed out is true. I'm running on Vista and have to run as admin. Got a solid homage group to my fave series, DL.
