    Born and raised in Chicago, proper. Northwest Side.

    Moved to Schaumburg in 2006 when we bought our first house. Would've loved to stay in the city but not with those home prices and property taxes.

    No matter what GA says, I'm still a Chicagoan, through and through. Just a temporarily displaced one. ;)

    What's wrong with Scumburg??

    Seriously, it was the one place that actually had affordable houses that we were truly interested in. An added benefit it that me and the wife's commutes are pretty short. She works in Rolling Meadows (Ghettos) and I work in Oakbrook Terrace. Her commutes @ 15 minutes, mines @ 30. Best damn commute time I've had in my entire carreer!!
