I just realized there's a GIANT character available. wow! But then I caught myself thinking... is it a good idea to have him in the party? So, what you guys say? And where the hell did this giant come from? I thought of having him fight with a large weapon (greataxe maybe) in one hand and a medium one (probably battleaxe) in the other. Or maybe give him a shield and a long reach weapon (ranseur). Sounds nice...
I believa that giant is a joke. He don't have the phisical abilities of a giant (strenght 18? Half-orcs shall have more strenght!), but are mentaly inept. Yes, he shall wear two good weapons, but it's not a good compensation for low AC, low habilities and a problem with his own identity (he is a giant, a half-orc realy big or a human transmutated?!?). I prefer a good half-orc ranger with two weapons or a fighter with a pole weapon. Much better.
Low AC is a problem, but you forget that he has a longer reach than normal. Having a longer reach and attacking with a greataxe like it was a medium weapon makes this giant a killing machine. Having the worst mental status isn't a problem, after all he's a fighter, and he has already very good Strength and Constitution scores, and a Dexterity that makes his size penalty to AC less of a problem. PS: I'm Brazilian too. =)
Give him a long weapon in his lead hand and his reach is 3! Put a short weapon in his other hand and it has that reach, too. I usually console his strength to 22 or more. As a fighter, he gets plenty of feats. What I'd like is to change the model an enlarged half-orc, or better still, a female.
You really have a thing there with half-orc females, don't you? Lol. Now giant half orc females. Really lol.
I was thinking about that. Does that really happen? If I give him a ranseur and a longsword, will he attack with both up to the same distance? But that would be cheating anyway, I'd rather not take advantage of it.
Don't recall ANY mention of Melany in this post, GA82...just giant half orc females. What on earth (or off it) comes next...
Meleny at 150& model size, size_large, red hair, Strength 20, race_ halforc with pic 3100 makes a very large halforc druid/fighter. About giant size and the 3100 portrait is pretty nice. The things you can do with protoed.
Big, Green AND Perky! As a reminder, I am constantly telling people who complain about Meleny's low survivability to console her 8 strength to 18 and her her to 1/2 orc, and give her the unholy double axe.
Don't know about the unholy axe. Doesn't fit her alignment. Frostbrand or flaming greatsword I like. Mean, perky, and kick-ass.
Perhaps GA82 is dealing with a "little man" complex. That's why he's into the big, perky "Whip me. Beat me, Make me right bad checks." ladies. oke: And before we degenerate this any further, let me make it clear that the "little man" complex was NOT, I repeat, NOT, referring to GA's..... *crash* *staic* *silence* And now that we've gotten that out of the way..... Green? Well everyone has a favourite colour, right?
Well, I was talking about no consoled chars... I dont like to console anithing, at all, and so, I'm making my apreciation of that giant withou any moding over. To have low Wisdon means that the thing will allways fail in any Will save. I like my fighters with high Wisdon to keep they over his legs when Lareth decide to camands they to fall... And, sure, for RP too. A stupid giant destroying all around and being stupid and destructive is very annoying. I know. I have one. The reach 2 is possible just with a pole weapon. A half-orc fighter with a glaive will make much more than that monstruous thing with a two-handed sword. And for me, melee reach 2 is enough. Sure, you shall have the giant with a pair of sticks (like a couple of glaives) to have a 15-feet-reach-two-stick-fighter, but I dont know, a 15-feet-reach-two-stick-fighter just dont like cool for me... Well, the giant half-orc now makes me thing a little more about this thing of moding... I always have a cleric half-orc female with Strenght Domain to be Enlarged every battle! They are very... Hum... Pretty...? Ya gotcha.
