Are you saying he copped an AoO from the critter he attacked?

So, no one has anything to say about Furnok. Your Furnoks always retire quite reliably?

I do offer my employees an excellent severance package.

A thoroughly complete and final one, you might say. I have yet to receive any complaints from any ex-employees.

My warrior was next to 3 mobs. I used single attack to move away from those3 and attack a bow user, then moved back away from the bow wielder. In my initial move the 3 mobs I was standing next to all took AOOs at me. Obviously the bow wielder did not since he can't. I'll see if I can get a better example next time.

Well, from Ted's cut'n'paste off the SRD, that's RAW. Mobs other than your target can get in an AoO. Unless you can confirm the target gets an AoO (I'd try using it on a bugbear with a reach weapon to test) it sounds like it's working properly.

Yeah, what Erkper said: although its really only for thoroughness, since we can't fix it if it does happen.

obviously, what I meant was how does the game calculate the 2,000gp so Furnok will initiate dialog line 400 telling the party he's done. It must be in his inventory, which can be tricky because of Humble NPCs? I resorted to pick pocketing to get the coins. But he doesn't begin the dialog.

    Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I thought I would reawaken this thread to see if anyone had any new experience with Furnok regarding his retirement. I am still wondering if Humble NPCs negates his retirement. I did however place coins in his inventory that totaled in excess of 2,000gp.

Flag 060 Furnok has been on adventure (will retire when back at Hommlet and gold > 2000)
