Hey, I teach mathematics. Every day is "Dawn of the Dead" for me.

I don't know that it's Dillinger. But, the facts fit.

In the "real" Star Trek, Kirk didn't get the Enterprise or meet Spock until he'd been in Star Fleet for some time. Its previous commander had been Captain Christopher Pike. Notice also that the Enterprise looks wierd.

When Star Trek first came on (the salt creature disguised as McCoy's old girlfriend), I made my mom watch it with me. The next day, everyone was stoked about it. "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." had been replaced.

DON'T call me a Trekkie, I came long before those guys. I watched the original series, before it reran in syndication.

I'll definitely go see the movie. But I don't just like everything with the name Star Trek on it.

    A late Good Morning!

Rainy and gusty out this morning.

The birds fly, but the nasty squirrels
    are staying off the ground.

I go to work today and am running late.

I met a cat on 2nd Life. He could roll over,
    stretch, jump up and purr.

So now I know a cat, a rat, a dragon and a vampire.

People are funny. They really are. But who knows?
One day I might want to do something like that.

    Maybe.

I hope you have a good day!

Just keep the loaded shotgun handy. Those "student" can get quite bitey when aroused!

Yeah, I know about Christiopher Pike. I must've completely zoned on missing that fact whe I watched the trailer. Bad on me, being a Star Trek fan. (not a trekkie, per se, but close enough without the extreme geekiness or lack of female "contact")

No guns allowed in school, remember? On the other hand, my students don't often get aroused, so no problem there.

I'm looking forward to the movie. I didn't care for many of the the spin-off series. But "Enterprise" was consistently good, until the last season. And I'm used to Star Trek movies that suck, anyway. :p

    The middle of the night,
    nothing but quiet outside
and no moon to speak of.

    The silence is nice.

    Long day, today.

To all who go to sleep on this side
    of the world,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Sleep soundly tonight.
    Give your head a rest.
    Wake up tomorrow
    and give it your best.

    G'Night.

Good Morning on this side of the world!

The sky is clear and it looks to be a warm day.

As usual, the birds sing and fly from tree to tree.

The nasty squirrels run around on the ground.

I see a lizard poking out from under one of the shutters.
I hope it isn't eating the tree frogs.

Not much sleep last night. Something was bothering me
and I couldn't quite get there. This morning, though, I
know what it is, but I don't know what to do about it.

Someone on 2nd Life gave me a pet rat. It sits on my
shoulder. Like a familiar would. Heh.

Another work day today to make up for what I lost last week.
On little sleep. Not looking forward to that. Coffee, coffee.
    My magic potionl.

I hope you have a good day and that the sun shines on you.

The dark of the moon comes soon.

Willing to listen and help if you're willing (or able to) share!

Meh. Cold, windy, and rainy. More like a November day than an April one. The kind of cold and damp that cuts through any coat you might be wearing. Coupled with the sinuses acting up, yeah, it's been a great day! At least my knee stopped acting up for some reason..... The weekend's shaping up to look quite nice, weatherwise, at least.

??? The Dark Side of the Moon was released in 1973.

It wasn't about me. Somebody else.

    I'm tired, but I think I'm ok.

    Thanks.

    The new moon. :blegh:

    You were joking, perhaps?

Getting late and head still pounding. Coffee helped, but not long lasting in it's benefits. Hopefully sleep will not be long in coming (pretty immune to caffeine, anyway). Tomorrow (hopefully) should dawn as a better day. Until the morrow.....

I hope everyone has had a good night so far.

    Mine is not over yet.

Long day. But a good day, all in all.

I had some ideas for the new building plans,
some things that were overlooked. They
    were duly noted.

    Actually had some fun, today.

And now, to all who go to sleep on this side of the world,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Breathe, breathe, breathe.
    Commit to sleep.
    Don't forget not to
    get in too deep.
Let it go, let it go, let it go.

And wake up in the morning!

    G'Night.

    Good Morning.

The sky is clear and blue this morning and it will be warm today,
the weatherman says 82 degrees. No rain. Apparently here
in Florida, we are still under fire weather conditions, even with all the
    rain we've had.

The ground, mainly decomposed coral and sand, is too porous to
hold the water for long. It goes almost immediately into the aquifer.
In other parts of the country, fire weather conditions occur in the
summer. Here, the summer has too much humidity, so we are
prone to fire in the winter and spring.

I do not work today. Instead, I go in tomorrow.

The birds sing and flit through the trees. The redheaded woodpecker,
or one of them, visits the hole in the live oak and drinks. The buzzards
are nowhere in sight. Nor are the hawks, but the crows are here, a
large flock that scouts the neighbor's lawn for worms and bugs. And
squawks and caws. Such a social crowd, they are.

    I ignore the squirrels.

I hope you have a good day.

    Stay in the light.

I hope you had a good day and a nice evening.

I hope you have a good night, too.

To all who go to sleep on this side of the world,

    The (early) Nightly Mission:

I hope someone smiled at you
and left some light in your life.
Pass it on to someone else.
    Keep the circle, share joy
    and beauty.

    Sleep soundly tonight
    and wake up tomorrow
    without the dark, in
    the light.

    G'Night.
