Today was a really good day!

    Yay! for me. About time.

I woke up clear headed and stayed that way all day.

Mostly stayed out of self, too.

I sat in the sun for awhile, which I normally don't do,
and was lucky in the timing -- shortly afterwards, the
sky started clouding up again and it immediately got
    cooler.

I hope you had a good day, too.

Night comes and with it the wind, maybe more rain.

No rain. The clouds all blew away.

    A good night, too.

I hope you had a good night, also.

To all who go to sleep on this side of the world,

    The Nightly Mission:

Pay attention to what you say,
    you might be saying something
    you need to hear.

    Stay in the light!

    Sleep well tonight.
    Wake up in the morning.

    G'Night.

I took a walk last evening, alone. J wasn't really in the mood and was still trying to "decompress" after a stressful day at work. A stop at our local pub for dinner and beer or two helped (Damn, that was a good sandwich!). I digress... it was a little strange to walk alone like that after all this time and I missed her company, but I understood her need just to relax.

Saw a Blue Heron come flying in low over the water of the lake near our house, before finally settling on a muddy part of the shore for a nightly fishing excursion. It really brought a smile to my face. Just like when the hawks in the area decide to pay a visit.

The weather was pleasant, I had a great sunset going, and the flowers and trees were showing big time signs of life. J was happily surprised on the Heron sighting when I told her, and yeah, had to rib her a bit about staying in and missing things.

BTW, the doctor said I should have the stitches out by next week.

Not as cold this morning, probably because I am late getting up.

But I still feel clear and look forward to the day, work and a lunch
    date with my boss.

The cardinal pair are still chasing each other around the trees and
bushes. What is with this pair, anyway?

It's windy out, scattered clouds mixed with blue sky...be nice if
it didn't rain...I think we must be out of the drought by now.

Hope you have a good day.

    Mine looks to be busy.
Edit: NOT. The whole day has been canceled.
    Everyone is sick.

I am going to have a good day, anyway.

It appears my "stitches" comment might have elicited some concerns over my well being.

To clear up any confusion, the "stitches" reference was a little joke in reference to me ribbing J about not going for the walk and missing out on some wonderful sights.

Yours truly is in good health (with the exception of the damned arthritis in my right knee that decided TODAY is the perfect day to flare up!), both physically and mentally.

Of course "mentally in good health" is highly subjective.....

Seriously, thanks for all the concern!

MSM and Glucosimine (some say Chondroitine) regularly. Exercise works better, but let's be real. ;)

I know, because I'm stupid, and I've got the scar tissue to prove it.

No, it's not subjective, You're crazy.

Tried the MSM/Glucosimine gambit for quite awhile. Really didn't detect any discernable difference. The Advil helps, but to be honest, the pain was in a new area and much sharper than my normal ache. Not sure if solely weather induced or what, but just slightly :nervous:

That's the nicest thing I've heard all day! Thanks!

I've been told that to reduce inflammation, the ibuprofen starts really kicking in after
you've taken it for 3 days, in therapeutic doses. (Told by a nurse, re: my knee.)

Most of us are crazy to some extent, so welcome to the crowd! :Crazy_Lio

Not a bad day, not a bad night.

    Not much accomplished, either.

To all who sleep (or will) on this side of the planet,

    The Early Nightly Mission:

    Before you go fast asleep
    review the day that passed.
Keep the good things in your heart,
    let all the rest depart.

The good things are the light
that will moor and restore you
    throughout the night.

    Wake up in the morning
and if you can, stay in the light.

    G'Night

    Good Morning!

I am up too early again.

Evidently the brain needs less sleep than the body.

I danced the night away with a friend on 2nd Life,
all the while having a conversation.

The 'club' we were at had a live DJ plugged in from
a real club somewhere. I was told that 2nd Life is
becoming a popular way for new bands, DJ's, etc.,
    to build a following.

This 'club' had some good and realistic dance animations,
unlike the one I went to before.

The birds are up and flying around. I do not see the red
cardinal chasing the female, but I do see her (or one of
the females, anyway) flying around looking for food.

A bluejay chases a cat right past my porch. The cat
isn't running flat out, but is galloping away from the bird.
I've heard bluejays will do this, but it's the first time I've
    ever seen it happen.

The same bluejay chases a squirrel a little later. The
squirrel is running flat out. Size probably makes a
difference...the squirrel isn't much bigger than the jay.

So there has to be a nest somewhere in the live oaks.

That means lots of nests, I imagine.

I see a very large bird fly from one live oak to another
across the street, then take off and fly over the range
of trees to the north. I think it must be the hawk, but
the rising sun is in my eyes and I can't tell for sure.

Cool this morning. The weather report says it will be
the 80's again today, but no rain. Nice.

I hope you wake up feeling ok.
I hope you have a good day.

I hope you had a good day.

The porch lizards, all 3, were basking in
the sun today, catching more bugs. I wish
I had a herd of them, all over the porch, all
    around the house.

    Now that would be interesting.

My evening or early night, whichever, was
a comedy of errors. I will not go into it
here, but I am glad it is behind me.

Deep night is here, has been for awhile. The moon
is late rising, or set too soon for me to see it. It is
quiet and my brain is very glad. Not even a cricket
    chirping.

I hope you had a good night so far, and that the
rest of the night is, too.

To all who sleep on this side of the world,

    The Nightly Mission:

Find a silky pool of silence.
Inhale it, breathe it deep within.
Let it empty out your mind.

How smooth and cool quiet feels,
so unlike the roaring waves of chaos
    that slam against the shifting
    sands of reason and sanity.

    Behind quiet comes the light.

    Sleep safe, sleep sound tonight.
Rise tomorrow with a clear mind.

    G'Night.

    A herd of lizards?

Sure, I heard of lizards. What do you think I am, ignorant?

    No! A lizard HERD!

What do I care what a lizard heard? I got no secrets.

I come from a long line of wise-asses on both sides of my family. I guess we're biased that way. :eyebrow:

"Feel of them peppers and see if they're hot, boy."

Not good, if you're young and gullible. :shame:
