Manyshot works just fine - even better than fine, since it only has a -2 penalty rather than the RAW -4 penalty. Make sure you are within 30' and either Move first, or select Single Attack. You can then see the results over your target and in the roll counter. No need to uncheck Rapid Shot.

Re: Circle of Eight Modpack 5.5.x + CMF Bug Report Thread

Thanks guys for the halfling small staff reference, I will start searching the Atari thread now. But, what should I do when I find the bug I want to report in another thread but it's not resolved?

For example, this happened to me just now:
    Bug Tracker Update
#0036 - [v5.5.0] Owl familiar portrait is wrong - Rejected (Cannot reproduce and proto entry is correct)

Except that it's happening to me right now. I made the druid and its his third fight. I'm in the moathouse courtyard and I cast summon nature's ally I and chose the owl. The portrait is indeed the little boy... in fact, the owl *is* a little boy. Everything else reads correctly as an owl (popup, etc.) and he strikes as an owl. But he's definitely using the little boy avatar. I have a screenshot if you want me to send it in (just let me know where).

Also: the fiendish hawk had a portrait error for me too. I cast summon monster I in the very first fight with the toads at the moathouse. The bird showed up (looks neat, like an imp with a glowing beak) but the portrait is of a woman in a cape.

Add: Fiendish Hawks can be tripped by the grease spell.

Unfortunately yes,it affected all my save games, not a single save game even old games allowed stackable item transfers after encountering the Kobold. VERY damn frustrating losing 11 save games, but I deleted my TOEE and reinstalled and kept the saves to check, and found the base data the save games rely on was corrupted(from my figuring???),not the save games as the game worked perfectly after this and I reused the save games. Well I do not know the game mechanics here, being a Rome Total War player also, but I think save game data is seperate from game rules data(as in RTW)??? Stackable items bug affected the TOEE rules data???? :twitch: Aghhh my brain hurts...

All right Basil, I'll bite - who are you debating this with? Because you appear to be carrying out a very passionate debate here - "The wording of the spell DOES NOT use language stating to treat the result as if the spell had failed a spell resistance check!!!!" - but no-one else seems to be involved? :scratchhe

No debate or discussion here. I tried to do so on the Discussion thread, but no one engaged me there to either confirm or deny my suspicions. I later stumbled on to some things which I believe confirm that Death Ward was improperly implemented (by Troika, I suppose). I found no mention in Atari Buglist (BTW, when should we add to Atari buglist and when to 5.5 Buglist? Is the Atari one now defunct?), so I put it here.

My emphasis was made to remove any doubt in Gaear's mind and resist any challenge by any lurking rules lawyers here.

Edit: I have a similar situation going on in the ToEE forum regarding Counterspell and Greater Dispel Magic. Any takers?

I thought you knew. Basil the Timid was arguing with Basil the Bold. We (GA55 and GA82) did.

Are there any plans to add small-sized weapons to the new 5.5 shop? I suppose so but the search engine can't find any reference to my question.

Should we add small-sized weapons, Basil? Are they considered normal and not exotic (as in 'beyond the norm,' not EWP) in any way?

Back when shopmap inventory was being discussed, I don't remember anyone suggesting this, but maybe I've forgotten. D&D stats and facts and figures are not my bag.

I don't think you should penalize players for choosing small dudes. The entire purpose of your shop-map is for choices, right?

Should Hommlet or Nulb have them right off the bat? Maybe not due to lack of demand.

Welkwood Bog is unfinished. You cam go there, look around, but that's it.

Don't worry, you're not missing anything.

It seems to me that in vanilla the requirements for whatever applicable dialogue skill was raised in the Co8 modpack. I'm not sure whether this is intentional or not. I do know that at 7th level with max skill level(again not sure which dialogue skill actually triggers this) should get you to be able to trigger the whole earth temple/triple cross dialogue. My front person always has the feat that gives sense motive and I'm not sure what the other dialogue skill bonus it provides. Anyways, I hope this helps.

Re: Circle of Eight Modpack 5.5.x + CMF Bug Report Thread

Alright, let me see if I can get this all out effectively..

Computer stuff: Win XP home sp2 running Bitdefender 2009 Internet Security.

    Game stuff:

I'm running Co8 5.5.0 ('bare-bones) installed as instructed with TFEX 2.1. I did change a couple of portraits by renaming the ones I wanted to match those included then overwriting (no changes were made to the .mes, nor were any new portraits added). Also, I added 3 pc voice sets, altering the necessary pcvoice.mes's.

    Problems:
(I don't know what is relevant so I'll be adding as much information as possible.)

First and foremost, this problem occurs at any point regardless of what quests I've done or what setup I use (i.e. group comp/#, gear, level etc.). If I pickpocket anyone inside Burne & Rufus' tower the game becomes incredibly unstable. Meaning there's a good chance that games saved within the tower will become corrupted. Changing areas and random encounters have a high chance of crashing the game as well. I have not tried this with the normal ToEE game but I remember it happening before. I tried saving (normal save) outside the tower, exiting the game and restarting but the problem with area changes and random encounters persisted.
Note: I have been using quicksaves but normal saves also become corrupted with this.
Note 2: I am able to pickpocket the jeweler with no similar problems.

    Second..
OK, I'll add a lot of detail to this problem. First up; TFEX set up.
I have the following options enabled: Max HP for NPC's (from HD), Max HP Per level, Humble NPCs, Clean Game Cache On Startup, Level Cap - 20, 7 PC / 1 NPC setup. I'm using a Neutral Good party with 7 players (obviously :p). All are currently level 6 with mostly masterwork and enchanted (found not crafted). Some of said gear is the custom gear added with the 5.5 mod.

Quest progress: I've completed all quests for Hommlet minus Courtship of Eddie's Herdsman, An Agent Revealed, Welkwood Bog, A cure for Amii, and any recruitable NPC quests minus revealing Furnoks cheating. I did recruit and dismiss several NPC's in order to get their quality gear and sellable items :p(gems/scrolls etc.), but have not used any NPC's in combat. For Nulb I've completed the following: Madam Ophelia's Weakest Link, Gypsy Road, Bribery for Justice (Sammy turned in), Thief!, and The Spy who Loved Me. Im working on the following: Porky's Revenge and Mona's Crystal Ball (which I think I already did but am not sure :\).

On to the issue.. After going to Imeryds Meadow, killing the creatures, and looting the items from the Kingfrog several areas become highly prone to crashing. The areas include, but aren't limited to the purchased house in Nulb, the upstairs of the hommlet inn, and Burne & Rufus' tower. Also, travel becomes dangerous as there's a chance that the game will crash at the start or with random encounters. This also occurs after I clear the large group of mercenaries in the side entrance to the Temple of Elemental Evil regardless of whether or not I avoid Imerdys Meadow.

Another issue: Welkwood Bog appears to be deserted :p I am not sure if I'm missing something or if I did something wrong but there doesn't seem to be anything there.

:\ I hope there's something that can be done, I very much enjoy this game and really appreciate all the work that's gone into the mod.

Welkwood Bog is not yet inhabited. So, no problem there.
