Hello guys, Been a hell of a long time, congrats on the latest CO8 release it's better than ever and stable to boot! A quick one, is there a way to spawn a copy of Lareth's original diary so I can get to Nulb? Long story short, as satisfying as ethnically cleansing Hommlet is with your CE savages, no-one has directions and my party is too dense to inspect the book, let alone open the lock. Thanks, -Jay
I am assuming that Lareth is dead and that you should have the Moathouse Cleaner reputation. Talk to Furnok, he can open it for you - for a price! Or, if you are too cheap to pay his extortion rate, take him into your party and fire him after he does the job. If he is dead, I thought that the other NPCs would finally give you directions. Try Burne, Terjon, Jaroo, the Jeweler, the Leatherworker, and the Town Elder.
TearZ are ya asking for some other way, than not the normal one - clear the moathhouse and pick the diary - to go Nulb? I believe dont... I have some dirty tricks to go Nulb soon in the game, becose, well, evil chars are not welcome on Homlet as in Nulb, right? But I havent idea of how to do this on the rules - I realize thar are not a different way to go Nulb except by cleaning the Moathhouse, that is the way to pick Lareth's Diary....
The easiest way for you would probably be boosting your open lock stat for one of the charas through console, to open the diary, and then reducing it back to the original. The console command thread is stickied in the general modding forum.
I plan to mod this for an add-on pack once 5.5.0 comes out of beta. It will then be possible to learn the location of Nulb through dialog with at least one minor Hommlet NPC. Of course, there are those here who believe that Nulb is too dangerous a place for very low level characters. I say why not let the players have enough rope to hang themselves.
