As always, you're quite welcome! *bows, a little unsteadily, but still manages to pull it off without spilling his wine* J/K, drank the wine last nite!! Note to self: Buy more wine.
I feel offended. The only dwarf with a bad-a** axe is a woman?!! I like the story so far. Hm, the only thing I could point out is that I'd recommend describing how the spells look and work instead of just naming them. You know, just to avoid P'n'P/D&D geek language.
Sorry about that, luck of the draw. Glad you like it...I have no perspective, so can't tell. *psst...don't know how the spells look*
If anybody knows how the spells look when cast, etc., I'd appreciate a description. Don't have a clue where to go to look for a description. I can find how they work, more or less, but not what they look like. GA82, read your pm, please.
If you rerally want spell desriptions and don't want to do it on your own, let me know what spell you're looking for and I may be able to help.
I have a general idea of who/what my characters are/will be, but I am finding that they are going their own way in the story, especially the raven. I did not plan on spending as much time as I did on the dwarf, the ceremony, the stronghold events, for example. I have been told that the story writes itself, and I guess this is what they mean by that. Now...I have a question. Originally I thought I would have a paladin. But I wonder if a paladin is a good choice, considering what the alignments of the other characters are going to be. This is a NG party and most of the characters, as now planned, will worship the old gods. So...any thoughts? Please?
IMHO, a Paladin would be a poor fit. They're lawful good and would not readily put up with the "unlawful" actions of a NG party, even if their intentions are for the greater good. You may be able to include a Paladin (and get some interesting dialogue/situations going between the Pally and the rest of the party) if you include some sort of back story where the Pally was "commanded" by his superiors to assist in rooting out and destroying the slumbering evil. BTW, any spell descriptions you want done yet?
I am getting a lot of conflicting info about Will-o-Wisps and would like some things clarified. What kills them? What buffs against them? What attacks do they have? Spell descriptions would also be appreciated for any/all of the above. Thanks
Yet another question: If one character uses a see invisibility spell on an invisible creature, can another character then see the formerly invisible monster, or only the one who cast the spell?
Will O Wisps normally avoid direct combat, preferring to lead their victims to theri doom in the bog/swamp where they reside. The will O Wisp can be mistaken for and can alter itself to look like a lantern, assisting in their catching prey. If in combat, they attack with an electrical discharge. The will O Wisp swoops by an opponent, grazing them and releasing the discharge. It could be described as a brief flash of light followed by an electrical crackling sound. The discharge can be any colour, based on the Will O Wisp itself. Normal weapons WILL affect them, but they are immune to magical weapons. Will O Wisps are VERY hard to hit in combat with weapons due to their fast and seemingly erractic, movements. The only spells that will affect a Will O Wisp are protection from evil, magic missle, and maze. All others fail.
