I've been learning more about monsters and see I need to make some changes. I've revised some of the story, bits and pieces here and there. That will likely continue. What happened to the name I asked for?
Yes. If it is too big a task, I'll settle for just a name, no letter requirements. I have extensively revised the first fight scene. I hope it is better.
Ok. I have gotten though the meeting with the 2 sorceresses. What a lot of s's. Not sure where I want to go next. I'm thinking a cleric, probably will need a healer/fighter right away. I was thinking of a bard, but Ted's doing a story on that, don't think there needs to be 2 stories right at the same time on that, so I'll wait some for the bard. So...a cleric? Or a paladin? Then...wonder where I would find them? Foggy so far.
The oddest part of this story, to me, is the raven, Splice. I had no plans for a raven, I don't know where he came from, I never know what he will do. The name came the same way, instantly, out of nowhere. Very strange.
Writing this story is strange. Once I start, in short order, I find my internal dialogue becomes narration, just as I am writing the story. It is unsettling, but the writing doesn't start moving until that happens. Curious, very curious. I have been researching races, classes and other stuff, and it is all swimming around and getting mixed up. It will settle, I think. I found myself dreaming last night about the story...
Writing ANY piece of fiction is bound to be strange. IMHO, this is a GOOD thing. Again, only IMHO, I find this to be a GOOD thing. Means your brain is processing all the info you're absorbing. Something productive/useful/etc is BOUND to come of it. Unless it was a bad dream.... :nervous: BTW, sorry we (me and J) haven't gotten back to you on the name dealie. Just haven't had a chance to give it a really good go over/ponder to take a decent stab at it.
It normally levels me...and that is a good thing! It wasn't a bad dream...I just wish I could remember it! No worries...it's not like it's going away any time soon. Thanks for the support, btw.
