    Good Morning, everyone.

    Time steps forward
    with wonderment,
    sometimes with pain.
    Bringing the light,
    chasing the dark;
    the sun rises again.

I hope you all had a good night
and seek beauty, find joy today.

The office burned down early this morning; the firefighters are still there, putting out hot spots. Everyone is in shock. All travel is canceled. We meet, later, to discuss operations. Other agencys have been calling and offer space, so we should be offering service by next week. My work was on google docs, so none of it was lost, except the books, and there's another set at someone's home, so I am affected least of all of us.

We hope it was not arson.

Wow! This sort of thing can produce a lot of long term stress. Please take care of yourself. Don't hesistate to ask, if we can can help.

Were there other businesses in the building?

We owned the building and land, so the insurance should cover everything. A doctor's office rented out space in a wing attached to our office; the fire may have started there.

As previously stated, I am ok, but I haven't seen it yet.

Life gets crazy and somtimes even crazier, no?

Thanks for the offer of support; I appreciate it.

    Once again the latecomer....

GA's offer is hereby seconded by yours truly.

Good thing you have secondary locations to resume operations. You're one of the lucky ones.

I hope it's not arson either. That usually means a lengthy insurance investigation, with the possible result that the insurance carrier may not cover the loss, depending on the outcome of the investigation.

They don't think it is arson, although it hasn't been ruled out.

Our secondary locations are not capable of handling the traffic, not even the phone calls.
We will be working out of one of them the rest of the week, but only to notify people/agencies that might not know the situation. As is the case in situations like this, other community agencies, businesses and people are offering help, donations and the like. We have several office sites that we can use until a new office is built, and the ED will be looking at them. Services will not be available, though, for 2 weeks.

People-wise, today was the craziest day I think I have ever had.

I honestly don't know how anyone could help with that. It's nice to know, though, that someone offered support.

The exorcist says the birds were a good thing.

Again, I almost forget my nightly mission:

    Good night, all.
    Sleep tight
    Have a better day tomorrow

I'm going to write my brains out

(Not making a smart remark about writing with brains out. :p)

Kind of you, truly. I don't seem to have a whole lot of smarts left.

If there is any truth of past lives and karma, I must have had an absolutely perfect life last time. Making up for it, this time. Bah.

The robins were back in force this morning, scattered all over the ground, swooping and diving from the trees, brief chases after one another; I did not see the crows or the other birds that I couldn't recognize, cutting the number by half, but there was a lone cardinal among the others. It was noisy with bird calls. Migrating, I guess. They must have slept last night in the live oaks, hidden in the leaves. Some came very close to where I sat on the porch, and did not seem to mind me being there. The humming birds come though this area, on their way north, but do not nest. I like humming birds and like to watch them feed their young.

The 2nd time I am out, they are all up in the trees, again. A cat comes by with an unwary bird in it's mouth, perhaps that is why. I hope the cat does not leave the bird on my doorstep. (The cats around here seem to like me, and often visit with me when I sit on the porch at night.)

    Good morning, all!

Hope you slept soundly and longer than I did!
As always, I hope your day goes well.

The agency wants me to do stress debriefing, and after yesterday, my guts and head told me 'no.' I asked the exorcist about it, and he also said no. My current problem is the result of prolonged and unmitigated stress, and he says my boundaries are not stable enough...perhaps, he says, I should never do that specific type of work again. Hugs and pats are good, but stay away from anything more. Setting boundaries on the burning of my own brain being my burden, my task. (Heh...look at all the 'b's. I could really get carried away and change 'setting' to 'bestowing,' cut off 'my task' and add 'on my back.' hehe.)

The exorcist will not have access to 2nd Lilfe, where we meet, until Monday, so I am on my own until then. Even though it is all typing, emailing isn't the same as 2nd Life. He thinks I will do ok. He says to write, write. I have another free day, with no office to go to, no books to use at home until the other set is available. So I will write.

Here's what I found online about buzzards.

Buzzard-Vulture: (re: the ones that fly overhead in real life all the time)

Buzzard or Vulture teaches the power of purification of the mind, body and spirit. Vulture aids accomplishing tasks through great patience and vision, using your sense of smell and discernment, and how to glide and soar with your own energy. He teaches efficiency in actions and promises that changes are imminent. He shows how to restore harmony of thoughts and feelings so one can reach new heights with little effort. Buzzards will aid in uncovering truths, clarifying previous conceptions, and allow to see and hear subtle hidden qualities using intution and awareness. Buzzard can teach confidence and the ability to stand with dignity and soar with clarity and purpose. He shows how to seek a new and heightened vision while increasing sensitivity. It is time to soar above your perceived limitations. Are you currently undergoing an internal death and rebirth cycle? Are you ready to assert your actions from your ideas? Buzzard will will aid in transforming knowledge to bring the unconscious to conscious and teach how to soar above it and bring the transformation you are needing at this time. Are you ready for these lessons of awakening?

The robins left and the crows invaded.

They called out to all who would hear that I had left the house, rising in mass from the tallest pine, helter-skelter, making more noise than you would believe, then settling back to their perches. Evidently I am not a threat once I am seated.

I saw cranes of some type flying high, large wings flapping and long necks outstretched. Some ducks flew by, also. No geese, yet. I like ducks, they have warm eyes.

The squirrels hurried up the trees to their nests and the night is quiet, after an afternoon of much squawking and cawing. Social animals, crows are.

More social than I. I do not follow the exorcist's last direction, and stay home all day and sleep the afternoon away. The energy I picked up yesterday seems to have left. That is good, very good.

I go to pick up the books tomorrow and write more on the curriculum.

    Update edit:

    The nightly mission:

    Have a good night
    doing whatever
    makes you happy.

    Wake up tomorrow
    and have a good day.

I'm not ready for sleep, but to all who are, G'Night!

    Finally, some decent timing...

VERY long day at work. Did the whole after, after, after hours dealie. Funny to think I'll be back at work in less than 10 hours. PROGRESS (however slight) was made.

LOTS of BIG T-Storms here. Heavy rains, Fog. GREAT ride home!!

Lightning flashes are more like bomb blasts and the thunders worse. I swear the house came close to getting hit when I was out for a smoke. :twitch:

Dopey, our young male cat, has experienced his first T-Storms. Not as brave as he makes himself out to be I guess. No strutting around tonite. (for him, not me.)

Anyway... A good and peaceful night to those on this side of the world and a good relaxing morning to our friends down under.

Good Morning (to all on this side of the earth)!

Once again, I rise before the sun.

I see a large hawk fly to a distant tree. I have been wondering when I would see a hawk. I cannot make out what type it is, but it's wings are very large.

The squirrels are not up yet, and the birds, while singing, do not fly...perhaps the hawk is blame for that. Perhaps it is simply too early.

An airplane high overhead catches the sun and turns pink.

Today, Friday, is my busiest day of the week. I hope it goes well.

I hope your day goes well, too!
