I notice she has a feat in scimitars, is there a way to change this to falchion with the console? Probably not right?
Afaik, feats have not been figured out yet... Wasn't there some kind of save editor though? I'm not sure...
No, can't do feats yet. Darmagon mentioned a way but I have never figured the exact syntax. One of these days
Feats are in protos and are set by class and level. PC starting feats are set also. You can add feats to npc's using ProtoEd, available in the modding tools download. Stats, skills, feats, features such as size, hair color, sex, etc can be changed. It's trickey, so use at your own risk.
I dunno, maybe just use Heavy Scimitar? Or does it require a separate feat? If not, then it's not so much of difference 1d8 versus 2d4 of falchion
You do not need to start a new game when modifying protos.tab for it to kick in. However, feat changes must be done before the character levels up (or is it adding new feats through levelling up?).
^ Well, quite big actually. 1-6 versus 2-8. Now, considering her bad aptitude as a fighter in general, not so much. She does much better wild-shaped anyway.
The only problem with her wild shape is the claw marks on your back you get later on. No potion or spell is gonna heal those badges of honour!
If he's already got Meleny in his party, then any changes to her protos.tab entry (such as giving her a new feat) won't affect her, he will have to start a new game to see them (or spawn a new Meleny). Thats why I said it, Basil.
My "protos" Meleny: str14,dex16,cons16,int15,wis18,cha16. Weapon focus-longspear. Royo03 pic, level3 Druid and mw studded leather with attack dog companion. Looks mighty fine and becomes a powerhouse Druid. Yeah I know it's cheating, but it's fun.
It could be worse. She could come with a +3 holy sword As mentioned in the other thread, some of the recruitable NPCs were tweaked to make them worth having in your party. I don't see anything wrong with nidividuals tweaking them further - unless people are just giving everybody 20+ stats in everything (which is impossible to try to mod for, btw).
