    This is not a childhood story. Though it is 25 years old.

    Without wishing to explain things too much, sometimes I get these feelings...

    We were doing a night time patrol of an area we didn't normally patrol near downtown. It was a housing project and I was kind of tired. I suddenly felt like we to run halfway across the project. The guys just followed.

    We rounded a corner into an area between two of the residences and almost ran into a young hispanic lady dragging a 7 year old girl behind her in a hurry. She stopped because we were bocking the way. But I went right past her torwards the half dozen turds following her about 30 yards behind.

    They saw me and stopped. I walked up and said in a voice I don't usually use "GET OUT OF HERE!" The other two Angels behind me, who had stopped, started forward to join me, and that was enough. The turds looked at each other, turned and left.

    I calmed down and went back and told the lady we wanted to walk her home. She said "Thank You" and we took her to her door. The little girl asked us who we were and, without thinking, I said we were Angels. She said "Really?" and I squatted down and said "Yep! You probably heard of us. Here we are!"

    I didn't figure it out until the the guys were laughing about it after patrol.

    Unfortunately, most GA stories aren't really this cute. But I have yet to meet a cop or veteran Angel that wasn't a little superstitious. ;)

    No issues with "staying up" at all.

    Sorry EtC, you got elected kick-dog because you happened to cause Ms. Queen to remark she was worried of a ban the first time. No hard feelings, eh? ;)

    Now, Scryler and GA82 - these stories are outrageous and will not be tolerated on the boards!

    Seriously, to sort of merge the two themes of supernatural fear and danger ...

    GA, I'm betting that you're familiar with the phenomenon where you've done something seemingly quite dangerous, or maybe something that under normal conditions would be quite frightening in the horror-movie sense, but didn't realize that it was dangerous or should have been frightening until much later? That's always been kind of fascinating to me. Scryler's Dracula meets GA's housing project, but the angels come out on top. :thumbsup:

    The angels always come out on top...thus the silver cross, eh?


    From previous comments on a certain other neglected thread, the female in the lead appears to be seen as angelic...despite many signs to the contrary.

    Okay, this means that the 'lead' female, being in front, has her butt pointed at the male follower, thus providing ample opportunity for him to kiss it. He wants to because it's angelic looking, even though the act of doing so is degrading, which is a sign to the contrary of the female's angelicness.

    Wait, that's not the right story. :scratchhe Or the right forum. ;) :grin:
