C's pretty damn attractive, GA. I can see why you'd feel compromised seeing her half naked. ;)

"To expose or make liable to danger, suspicion, or disrepute"

What with the existence of A and all. If C were un-hot it might be different.

Time for another jump-start (and to redirect discusion branched to other threads):

So GA, why did you post that pic of C here? :Crazy_Tig

We of course all like to see pictures of pretty girls, and if it was just a "hey, this is me and my friend, wanted to share" moment, that's fine. But was it? It almost has the feel of pride to it, something ... a bit more?

(btw, I only single you out for scrutiny at this time because I know you can take it. That and it is interesting. So take one for the team and dish! ;))

    ~

p.s. Hope I didn't piss Scryler off, btw. I figured she would have skewered me by now. ;)

That's a good question. A problem with Gaear, hmm? He asks good questions.

I needed a break. To think. I'm not much of a logical thinker. And my intutition broke down. Plus...I felt like there was some tension, and I didn't want to turn a discussion into a conflict.

I knew you guys were interested in what the hell I was talking about. And I have that cell phone pic (and others). It's the only one that has us both in it, so you can see me, too. I'm definitely proud of all of those people, though it would be easy to underestimate Joe and Pam. And, I have to reemphasize here, I am not "hitting that".

So, with all these perfectly true denials firmly in place, I am safely able to truthfully plead:

    Guilty! At least partially. :errf:

I hope you did piss Scryler off. She's more fun when she's impatient with the proccedings, or the "inside" nature of the game knowledge. It's all I can do not to answer her every question as if it were obvious to everyone but her. (ready to duck) :paranoid:

I guess we already knew that, really. But perhaps more interesting is why you didn't post A's pic.

Don't worry about that on my end ... I'm generally too diplomatic (at least with women) to ever really get worked up that way. I will continue to ask you interesting (hopefully) questions, though, in the hope that you'll gain still greater insight by looking for the answers. :)

After all, what fun would a bunch of fan-boys agreeing with you and kissing your ass all day be? Well, it might be kind of fun, but not much of a challenge. ;)

I thought about that. And, uh...hmmm...there ARE more pictures of her, but I'm not IN any of them. Now THAT is thought-provoking...

Oh...I think it might be a challenge, alright.

I am back...heh. Probably should let this whole line drop...but it feels so unfinished...

I've heard men are raised to fight; to be aggressive; to compete amongst themselves ala the "who's on top" screnario (if that's the right word). Not to protect. So that's a new thought for me. I asked one of my feminist friends about it, thinking she'd be more informed. Her response was acerbic. So no help there.

I think of my brothers; I can't see that they were taught to protect each other or women, either. Yet, one of them definitely sees himself as a protector of women.

So...since you can't elaborate on it (and that's ok...not challenging you here), I guess I'll turn elsewhere for discussion. Like some of my other feminist friends (who maybe are more objective than the one I asked).

    Really, though...I'd rather ask men.

I don't care if he drives. As long as it isn't all the time. And as long as there is no assumption that it is his right to drive. Then there is the issue of who might be the best driver (meaning skill). That's another issue, isn't it?

I am surprised that you think I have a wide variety of demands. I thought they were quite simple. But you may be right. I think I'll have to go back through the thread and see how many there are.

I can't recall being smothered by anyone, heh. :dizzy:

Yep. It's over, GA. Best if you take the initiative and kick her out before she does it to you. Save your dignity.

    Just kidding. ;)

I'm kind of curious to know what she said anyway.

HK will be back in. He's smarter than me, so I'm sure he can explain it better. :)

Dunno, maybe if you're driving in treacherous weather conditions or heavy traffic. A guy who is made to sit in the passenger seat while his girl drives looks like a pansy to other guys, plain and simple. So that would be his main motivation.

It might be a challenge to get them to stop kissing your ass ... ;)

'Acerbic' was me being very generous. Scathing was more accurate. I think she was having a very bad day.

Her main point was that, in her opinion, Women are taught to protect men...especially if the man is abusive.

Ok. That's just more of the nurturing credo...doesn't address how men protect or learn it.

She hadn't run across that idea, either. She wasn't in agreement with my team sports example. Said that's the way it should be...men working to protect other men...but thinks most team sports now are 'star' driven. [Insert: That's still protecting another man, isn't it? End of insert.] But she also said she had been told that soldiers in war are more motivated to protect their fellow soldiers rather than fighting for their country, 'so maybe there is something to it'.

She did say she'd like to discuss it more (when she calms down?). Be better if we could get together, she and I, but right now our schedules are too weird.

There's something to the last part. Notice it's soldiers and not "men". But YOU care more for the people YOU know than you do some idea.

The point is: The reason that soldiers don't run away is they would be abandoning their comrades (family) in severe danger. A mother will stay with her babies in a burning house and die with them, instead of leaving the house and saving herself. No soldier gives a crap about the reason for a war, they stay with their buddies in that horrible, horrible place. They will go to that place to keep the war from coming to their home and family, but they stay there so as not to abandon their fellow soldiers.

I hope I didn't come across like I was putting soldiers down, GA82.
