Extraplanar Chest

Does the mini magic extraplanar chest have limited uses? Ive got things in there and I cant get the thing to summon any longer. Fizzles out on every use.

Also what determines how much experience you get to use when crafting wonderous item?

 

You left it somewhere....Now you have to go back and find it.

Last I remember I had it "uncasted" so I shouldnt have to go find it

 

No, trust us, you left it somewhere.

 

They're right, you must have left it lying around somewhere. Hopefully, it wasn't on a random encounter map - if it was, it's gone forever.

As far as the XP for crafting, according to my 3.0 PHB, crafting costs XP equal to 1/25th the GP value of the item created.

 

Forget using THAT chest and:

1. Go back to save before you lost it

2. Do without

3. Magic up a new one, 5000gp and, I think, no ep (It's a spell, not a craft, right?)

4. Start a new game, which is what I do

yeah i got a little excited throwing temple robes and loot and whatnot in there I probably left it somewhere. Got the scrolls of chest though! Uhhh extraplanar chest that is.... :shy:

 

Don't forget to inspect every chest CLOSELY before grabbing ahold of it.

 

I just noticed that my extraplanar chest is suddenly empty. Why does that happen?

edit: OK it seems like this happens when reinstalling the game and reusing the old saves.
