    Is your protos.tab still out of the CMF loop and thus incompatible? If so, will that be remedied?

    It seems that purchasing a place in Nulb is required before Preston tells you that some guys are looking for me. He also mentions the brothel and the Snake Pit as two separate places. They are the same, right?

    Also Skole wouldn't mention it unless I spoke to him twice.

    While trying to move my 8-member party around Nulb, they are suddenly transported to Ophelia. This has so far happened twice.

    Old bug. No idea why it happens. Originated with Liv's mod back in 2005.

    Does this stuff have anything to do with the new traders mod?

    I noticed that it is now only possible to tell Burne that the moathouse got cleared only after the Orc Cave gets cleared. Then he tells us where Nulb is (again).

    Are you sure? I don't think the Orc Cave has anything to do with it. It sounds more like one of those false correlations players tend to make (no offense).

    As for the Nulb incident, no idea, never happened to me, and if Gaear says it's an old bug, who am I to argue? Also, has this happened to you more than once? Can you replicate it?

    False Correlation? Possible, of course, but I check in with Burne quite often to ask what's up. SOMETHING triggered a change in dialog - and it wasn't simply clearing the moathouse or killing Lareth. Fwiw, the big 3 never left the Wench. Also, that dialog choice about what to do now that moathouse is cleared won't go away.

    Replicate? I have no idea what triggers it. It happened 3 times.

    I looked inside the dialogue file, and there's absolutely no mention of the orc caves quest in there. Can you post Burne's dlg file here? (00004burne.dlg, from the data\dlg folder)

    Also, can you write down the exact lines of the conversation? It should help me identify which branch of the conversation you are taking.

    As far as I can tell, you should only be able to tell Burne about the Moathouse under the following conditions: game.story_state >= 2 (i.e. you've cleared the Moathouse) and game.areas[3] == 0 (i.e. you don't know the location of Nulb yet)


    As for Nulb, no idea what's going on there. Well, I have a sneaking suspicion actually... it seems that heartbeat scripts in general can cause unexpected behavior with the game. Maybe it has to do with that. I'm thinking about trimming down the number of script objects to a couple in Nulb and about 6 in Hommlet, instead of making them 'self-replicating' as they are now.

    Ah, we might be on to something now. I knew about Nulb long before I cleared the moathouse (due to this Mod).

    As you may remember, the traders fled the town after the PCs told Burne to put extra guards on the Meeting Hall. Their attempts were foiled and they fled.

    I just noticed (after levelling up 3 times since then) that Terjon, Ostler, Jaroo, Mytch, Kenter are nowhere to be found at night. I checked the meeting hall and their homes. Burne is home.

    On a reload, I saw the Innkeeper "blinking"

    It crashes when I try to go to the Temple!! This is my first visit. It doesn't matter from which map location I start. I also tried with different saved games.

    Basil, if you are using ANY modifications - changed races on your NPCs, hacked files, consoled items, anything whatsoever - then please start again with a clean game before posting bug reports.

    *sigh* ToEE is a fickle beast, that's for sure.

    Basil, could you try starting a new game and going straight to the Temple? Just to see if it crashes or not?
    You can get its location instantly by typing
    Code:
    game.areas[4] = 1
    
    in the console.

    Regarding the Moathouse/Nulb business - could you post the *exact* dialogue lines that you and Burne speak? (from the beginning of the conversation to the end) It will save me a lot of time trying to replicate the error.

    Anyway, I've checked all the above in my game. I can't replicate any of it.
    The Temple doesn't crash, I can't tell Burne about clearing the Moathouse because I already know about Nulb, and all the 'absentees' are there at night. (I've tried to follow the same game path that you did - report to Burne about Traders, etc.) So it sounds to me like the game is borked in general, and this may be due to an installation issue, or that somehow your installation became corrupt. I'm afraid that the only fix for that may be a reinstall.

    I'm not having any luck at all (for any party) with that console command - no movement. What is the teleport fade command and coordinates to outside the temple? (...5062,X,Y)?

    B: A pleasure it is to see you again.
    PC: Just a few more questions

    B: ....How may I help you?
    PC: ...barter?
    PC: With the moathouse clear now, is there anything else I can help with?
    PC: Would you be interested in joining my group as we investigate the Temple....
    PC: Good day to you.

    B: You have done a great service to us by clearing out the moathouse. Here is the location of Nulb now. Your path now lies in that direction. (marks map)
    PC: Thanks Burne. We will head that way now. (travel)
    PC: Do you have the time for more questions
    PC: Good day to you.

    Edit: I have confirmed by playing previously saved files that the underlined dialog choice was not available after getting Moathouse Cleaner, which is when it would have / should have normally been offered.

    OK, chief. What do we do now that 5.0.6 is available? Install traders on top? When will your mod be formally included in the CMF?

    I HAVE REPLICATED IT!!! I am sending you two save files (for which Spugnoir paid the ultimate price): before and after killing the orcs. Go back to Hommlet and you will see that Burne's dialog is different.

    I must admit that, on earler run throughs, the dialog choice was offered before killing the orcs (also attached) and another time was not offered at all. Very, very strange!
