Hello everyone This is my very first post here but I really hope we have good time here. Now.. My question: I'm triying to play the mod on a mac using a scripted method (called Cider) to run windows games on a mac, the game works 100% using that install method with everything excluding the frontend because that cider stuff only allows me to run the game itself. I installed 5.0.5 on a fresh install under and old windows machine that doesn't run the game, but this cider port works. Everything seems to work fine the text on main screen (Even the 511 magic missiles ) EXCEPT for jade's starting zone and equipment In fact my PCs start just with their clothes they don't even have weapons Any ideas forsuch a weird question? ^^
Perhaps reading my threads will be helpful. I originally could not use Front-end and Gaear and Shiningted helped with that. Good luck.
There's an option in the intial install process that asks how you want to start. Starting with nothing and buying everything is a prefectly acceptable way to do it - in fact, it may be default. Thats why the caravan screen is there - you start with nothing but a pile of cash and you equip your characters as you like.
Well yes, but i'd like to enjoy the advantages of Jade i'm playing everything frm the begining right now, full equipped but level 1 still, you know guys if someone needs help running the mod on a mac i'm their guy lol
The advantages of Jade are to spend your wad of cash on higher quality items that are normally not available until later in the game. Trading the default equipment for her stuff is not to your advantage.
Well i could have a use for that equipment but the game is working perfect nontheless ^^ Thank you very much for the work of all stuff, we'll be on contact here one more: What level should i have to enter the temple?
I googled after another [k] because i read somewhere else in the forum that there might be a few patches around and i wanted to try a fewin case this solved my problem found this entry on another forum: That's what i did and tried that executable, mainly because i have read that there are 2 kinds of executables, the one with temple.dll embedded and the one that doesn't. Well that patch didn't work for me, (given that i'm running on a windows "emulation") game crashed after first loading screen.. :sadblinky Maybe i must make a post about running the game on MAC OS X
