This is the second time this has happened... I try to open my explanar chest, which had a ton of items in it, and poof, everything is missing. Not a single item left. Any idea why this could be happening? Also, if I left items in chests, are they safe? If I could use a town chest to stash my stuff in, i could get by using the explanar chest to just transport loot back to vendors, but I really dont trust that explanar chest now. I've lot a ton of items, possibly some quest items too
I dont believe so. I was keeping extra armors in there and some items, but nothing with charges. Had some good gear in there, too... but I can take the loss and keep playing, unless one of the items are important in a quest later.
There is a Cerulean Note in the initial chest that lists items you shouldn't put in it, such as magic items with charges and any crafted magic items (only those which you crafted yourself). Anything else should be fine. Are you sure that you accidently didn't use another extraplanar chest scroll while already owning one chest? Some quest items exist but I would say there is no such item which could prevent you from beating the game if you don't have it.
