Sooo, I drop into Nulb, and back to see Mother Screng. Instant battle starts. Why? I didn't have a cross word with her that I recall. Is this a bug? Can I recover from it? After all I hear shes a recruitable NPC and possibly gives quests. I'd rather not have to put her down.
No. All good. And we walked in there before a few times with no issue. Although I do have Rufus and Furnok in the party.
Could be due to Furnock. there are a number of NPC's who will go hostile after adding the wrong person
Furnok should not have any compatibility issues with any other NPCs. What about Otis (blacksmith in the same village)? Is he hostile too? As for her being hirable NPC - there are numerous conditions for this to happen, you can read more in this thread https://co8.org/community/threads/g...le-of-eight-modpack-new-content-edition.8742/ She doesn't give any quests. Only some lore content in one dialog when you're close to recruiting her and if you're Good-Aligned, and a bit more in the same dialog if you're running Neutral Good campaign.
Have you tried using a previous save to see if she instantly attacks you. I've done greedy neutral and evil parties who knock off Otis then visit Mother's shop. She still greets me even though Otis's head from my belt.
