This is excellent news. Looks like Paladin's Cove is back on the menu boys! Truthfully going to love bringing in some temple plus love, added spells and feats should help increase a parties strength.
Let me know where you're stuck, and I can help. Most of the chapter 2 quests come from the Guildmasters. And they should mostly send you on your way to a specific map without too much thinking, except for a few that need you to role-play.
I hope it all goes well. I only know the very basics of how Temple+ works, so I can't speak for how easy this is to do, or how my changes will work to make this a difficult task. Also, given that Paladin's Cove is still in it's first beta release, I hope this doesn't make testing much more difficult for me. When new bugs come in, I may be unsure which end the problem is on. Something to think about. I've made extensive changes to most of the files in the game. This includes changing almost every spell file in some way. I've also removed many script files completely, and consolidated/organized others into one file, and of course added many of my own. So, there are many functions that you may expect to be there that may be missing completely or renamed, or function in a different way. I've also rearranged vast areas of protos.tab, so proto numbers may not line up where you would normally expect them to be. Those are only a few examples I can think of.
Thanks. I've done them all, except for the two that I am stuck on. And I am sure that the Vendetta guy's quest is dependent on me completing these last two, but I am not sure if I want to complete his quest. I am trying to go from memory here - Spoiler In the Thief and the Knight quest, I drank some wine, ate some honey, i went and opened a chest (and the lady chastised me), and went and got caught getting the wand (so I pickpocketed it from the guard), and then placed the wand under the rock and it disappeared and was replaced by a note. The note said something, but I can't progress from there. Anyone that I talk to has me "i am looking for a good lock-picker" - and I don't know why i am looking for him. I go and talk with him, and he joins my group - for some unknown reason. Now that I have him, what am I supposed to do with him? The elf-lady near the house only wants to barter. Do I need him in my party for any particular reason? My thief is better than him. and - Spoiler Looking for the pirates - not sure what else to do. I've gone down to the remote in and killed everyone. I went back later and the dwarves took it over and I got them a new manager. I can't seem to figure out what the next step is. What did I miss?
I expect it to be mostly obvious if issues are caused by temple+. Most of the changes you mentioned I don't expect would be a problem but I will keep an eye on the forum.
For the first one, you need to Spoiler read the note standing next to the dwarven forge- very near where you've found that last note! For the second one, Spoiler when inside the inn now taken by dwarves, go to the upper floor, you'll find a chest with a map in it. To use it go to the boat behind the inn. It will take you to an island with lots of exciting battles Hope this helps
Oh, those would help, thanks. The first one, I should have figured out based on how the other notes worked, but some how it was less obvious to me. The second one is something I never would have figured out since I'd have no reason to look there.
Yes... Spoiler Once you find the map, you'll have lots to explore. Since the path of investigation led you to the Inn, and pirate's are found there, I assumed the next course of action would be to search the Inn for further clues. In most cases, Ria's dead body will be available to search, and she'll have a key to that chest upstairs (she's the pirate leader's girlfriend at the Inn). Originally... Spoiler I originally had the map itself in Ria's personal possessions. But a player's actions may leave her dead before the encounter even happens, or disintegrated, or suffered some other ill fate which would leave her body unsearchable. So, I put the map in the chest upstairs instead.
I don't know why Temple+ added that house rule about eating halflings, but I try to be open minded. Bless you Doug!
here are some typos and other things: And when this is displayed, there is a new quest shown as Accepted "they dug too deep" or something like that, but I did that already. This isn't a typo, but this wording is a little harsh: How about adding a dialog option such as "I agree, Peck, sorry to see you go"
I've finished the game twice and still enjoying it First one was a bit rushed through as I was eager to see what's what. Second one was meant to be the thorough one. However, strangely enough, some of the options/quests I got the first time were not available the second time ( eg this time never got the quest from Vendetta to Spoiler kill the two Paladins and I tried various dialogue options... but never mind, still great fun. As I am trying to start the third run, fancying to experiment a bit his time, I was hoping to give Temple+ version a go. HOWEVER, I am not going to as from the very beginning it behaves very strangely. Half the folk in the Cove are naked (!!) , when trying to teleport in the Cove from the World Map it takes me to the more bizarre places. For instance if I select "residential" it takes me here: if I select "Market place" it takes me here, next to the Church of Rao: If I select "Docks" , north of the Vineyard : And if I talk to the Patrol about directions that's the only options I get:
