Hey folks! Question, is it possible to make new domains? I've searched up the forums but I haven't found anything that says so one way or the other.
Domain system in TemplePlus is not suitable for expansions IIRC. It requires complete redesign. We considered doing so several times in the past. There should be good reason for that, as it involves not only architectural design, but also backward compatibility.
Hmm. What a bummer, especially since the way things are now, it'd be easy to actually make the domain powers and such.
I don't remember exactly what I went through with anatoliy, but I do think it'd be a significant effort to do it in a non-hacky way. Otherwise if you just want to do a personal mod kind of thing then yeah, making the actual powers should be "easy". P.S. still massively addicted to chess. To the point I even dream about it
Hey, you did a ton, Sitra. You deserve a break. Any notes or observations you can share are good. It's been years since I've messed with C++ and Python but I'm honestly doing this to get away from social media/doomscrolling so this is healthier!!
I did alter which domains were granted by the various deities for the IWD mod, I assume we are talking about new domain special abilities like Greater Turning etc... on that I have no clue or insight, way out of my programing ability.
