    Hi

    This is thread about what modules are based or to be based on zmod framework:
    1. Shattered Gates of Slaughtergarde. From 1st to 7 level PC. Done.
    2. Crypt of the Everflame. From 1st to 2nd level PC. 50% done. Cancelled.
    3. Expedition to Castle Ravenloft. From 7 to 9 level PC. 5% done. Cancelled.
    4. Cormyr. From 3rd to 7 level PC. 10% done. Considering.

    I'm also thinking about following modules:
    1. Tales from the Yawning Portal saga, starting from The Sunless Citadel, then The Forge of Fury.
    2. Sons of Gruumsh is nice. But no ground maps, which is a blocker for me. Would gladly receive an assistance on that.

    What about the Shackled City (hardcover edition) adventure path?

    I'm not sure about Shackled City path. Second module looks very shallow to me. Although first module is nice. I even considered running it in my D&D tabletop group.

    Drakthar's Way (the second module from the hardcover edition) was added to the hardcover edition to ensure PCs were the right level for part 3, Flood Season, which I've not yet played. Having played modules 1 & 2, I enjoyed having our Swordsage stomp, stomp, stomp out the vampiric module 2 boss.

    I liked Shackled City because it was a module intended to run level 1 - 20ish and it's set by default in Greyhawk!

    I've run Shackled City and like it but I don't know if it would translate well to TOEE. My suggestion would be Expedition to the Ruins of Castle Greyhawk. Bulmahn had something to do with that mod but I am good with it as long as he isn't DMing...

    Not sure about Castle Greyhawk, it has kind of storytelling dungeons, not whole but piece by piece. One cannot just place complete maps on a ground and fill with monsters.

    Castle Ravenloft on other hand has maps created by Venatus Maps. I contacted him, and he has given green light on using his maps in the module. As long it cannot be salvaged and has proper mention in the description.

    In a similar fashion, Pathfinder Society Scenarios (PFS) would likely work well with this format too, PF1e had 10 seasons with 30+ single session, 4 to 5 hour games, some had an overarching storyline, and all use the Paizo flip-mats and map-packs for the ground art. Characters advance in level every 3 sessions, and all players get the option to buy back loot found in the adventure from the Pathfinder Society (a good to neutral aligned only Guild of explorers, archaeologists and adventurers) after the session.

    The shorter adventure style might help to encourage more people to build mods for ToEE as completing them is more achievable.

    I have cancelled development of Crypt of the Everflame. It is tiny and very easy adventure. Not worth my time and your time. It is half-way done btw. https://github.com/anatoliy-savchak/toee.zmod.coe

    I have also cancelled plans to create Expedition to Castle Ravenloft. I have played it with my group, grew tired of it. Not as good as it seemed.

    Cormyr on other hand is still in my heart - the best Adventure I have played with my group. Love it. And considering implementing it.

    I like the Cormyr series and own it. Is Anauroch: Empire of Shade part of this series?

    I will need to read it eventually, as will probably run it next year.

    Since this is ToEE, any thought of doing Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil, or maybe the Scourge of the Slave Lords?

    Drawing maps is a problem. Even 2D takes effort to produce something visually decent. I was postponing RtToEE until had success with isometric draw. But even if isometric preset tiles used in GIMP it still needs to convert to correct angle, which will not look good.

    I tried many tools. The last resort is Unity, where it is possible to draw 3D map with decent assets and screen shot it in correct camera settings.

    Nevertheless, first part from RtToEE takes place in Hommlet, the Moathouse, Ghost Town of Nulb and Temple Upper level + Tower. All of that can be easily reused.

    But largest parts of RtToEE are in Temple of All Consumption, which must be painted.

    For RttToEE, based briefly off my memory of the module, Burne's Hommlet castle is finished (meaning you need a new map), Nulb's layout may be different, there are beholders (which can be reskinned Ice Tyrants), and there's a mine/minecart section. The revised module has new enemies a new PrC (Doomdreamer), a new deity (Tharzidun), and more.

    What about adding Bastion of Broken Souls to the end of the Co8 current module? It's high level, it's short, and seemingly a fitting end to an otherwise open-ended adventure.
