OK, I started a new game and deleted all my old saves. When I go down the stairs in the Inn, my guy doesn't spawn outside any longer, but one guy magically appears in the closet: In the first cave encounter, the hidden archer still runs up in the battle, so I get a free attack when he decides to fire: maybe you need to allow the players to move further into the room before the enemies are spawned. My guys barely make it around that bend before the battle is triggered, so they aren't quite in LOS to the archer and so he wants to move forward I fought the monster in the pit and then as I was walking up this pathway, when the battle with the rats started and all my guys jumped into battle mode, my guy thought it would be a good idea to jump down into this area. Now he is stuck in there - I had to exit the cave and go back: Couple typos:
When I talk to the little Shield vendor and attempt to trade with her, she does not display her inventory. She seems to display her belongings:
Thanks FDR, I'll update the bug-list shortly. That being said, the 'guy in the closet' thing is not, imho, worth the time to fix (fiddly fix for something that has no impact on game) while the guy who ended up 'in the pit' may be an engine thing - but there may be an easy fix too. Re the vendors - were these the first time you spoke to them or did they work then fail on inventory respawn?
It was the first time I spoke with them. I don't know if they change inventory after the first dungeon is complete, or not, but I think that I never went into the market until after I delivered the barrels in the Inn. So IIRC, I delivered the barrels and then went into the market for the first time.
OK, I loaded some older saves and did some testing. If I talk to the merchants before completing the quest (before delivering the barrels to the Inn), then the merchants are all OK. Only after I complete the quest, now the merchants are broken. Steps taken: 1) Load a game that has the cave cleared 2) Leave the cave and go talk to the merchants - they are good 3) Leave the market and go deliver the barrels and complete the quest 4) Go back to the market and talk to the merchants - they are bad
