He meant the English-speaking world; those who currently speak the English language on planet Earth. This perverted history lesson has nothing to do with what he meant. He was glad to discover that the French aren't as disliked as he thought before finding us.

    Then, of course, there's this:

    Couldn't resist a stupid joke.

@ Cujo: They'd like us to think so; or die trying to make us. I'm for helping the ones who are that committed to "trying to make us" get to meet him face to face.

This table is very cool, I was asking myself what was the attributes of druid animal companions plus if there where any progression of the animals as the druid progress.

Despite I read english and french, I still have some questions :D :
    - What means NAT? (I understood it's a part of the bonus AC but not the meaning)
    - What means CR?
    - What's the effect of the For column and what it means? (Fortitude?)
    - What's the effect of the HD Column? It has not effect of HP isn't it?
    - What the effect of the Dice column and HD Bns Column?
    - If I understood the progression table they don't get more HP nor more AC through progression?
    - I quote : "even with Max HP Mod HD Bonus are Random" So HD is HP bonus as animal progress? Myself I don't see any HP progress but I could be wrong.
    - Is disband a companion and calling a new one has any effect?

NAT seems to be the Natural Armour bonus to AC.
CR is usually for Challenge Rating
For seems to be the strength attribute, and the ability modifier.
HD is the number of Hit Dice the creature has - HP is determined from the number of HD
The Dice column is the unmodified damage roll.
HD bns is the bonus HP (probably due to constitution bonuses?) to the Hit Dice.
As companions progress they gain additional hit dice, the MAX HP from HD option in frontend still yeilds random bonuses to HP.
I have no idea as to whether dimissing a companion and getting a new one will get you a standard companion of that type, or a modified companion based on the base creature + your level adjustments.

Thanks Allyx very helpful, I'll try to keep an animal and check if it gets more HP after I level up once and will try disband and recall to see if there's a change. But I think I checked that already by using "show NPC HP option" and noticed no HP changes. Eventually this option doesn't work fully so I'll try check more by looking damages level change.

If I notice a change I'll try disband/recall to check the difference.

I don't know how to check other attributes.

Ok so an animal companion called when druid was level 2 had same HP than same called at level 1, it was the Jackal. Show NPC HP Option show 43. Later without the show hp option, I succeed get it dead (50 damage from the brigand chief in a single hit!! Couldn't believe my eyes) and dead it has 53 damages so 43 xp.

Either animal companion doesn't get any additional HP when the druid is higher level, either I have a bug, either it get them only during a level up and without dying. If that's not a bug in any case that quite a weakness of those animal companion, interesting at the beginning and more and more useless later.

Animal companions gain HP bonuses in ToEE when your Druid hits levels 3, 6, and 9, just like it shows on the chart. Look in the first post in this thread.

Lol thanks to enlight me! :)

I checked the original D&D 3.5 rule and saw that the jackal should be the same table than the dog, ToEE Jackal seems to be a giant Jackal, a species not yet discovered by the guardians of D&D 3.5 :)

  9. Before you take offense, I'm just suspicious nature, you might say, not to mention the curious. So, convince me. This is a decent job; too decent translation skills to meet your claim to lack...

How are animal companions implemented for levels 11-20?

If I used world builder to give my animal companion improved trip would it make trip attempts?

Edit: I am playing around with the strategy.tab file to give the AI commands.

Been looking at that, and I'm thinking the Jackal and the Wolf are simply switched. The hit points and the graphic suggest a name switch. Take a good look at the Jackal graphic and the wolf graphic -- wolves are thick and bushy, jackals are thin and sleek. These graphics (and hit points) are opposite..

I've also suspected that the Jackal's and Wolf's stats were switched.

Is reverting them a simple enough operation?

Thanks to OP, I was curious of that.

But I wonder why the Brown Bear isn't in the list (no Co8). Eventually it's like the Black Bear but cosmetic.

Woo you stink, play the game before throwing a bunch of pointless and stupid comments.

    I can't believe it.

Yeah this post is a joke post, like your "jokes", sigh. And yeah I'm as awful than you for jokes, that's life.

Joke or not, your post adds nothing to the thread and is not appropriate. Please review the Site and Forum Rules #5 if you don't understand why and be aware that there is a general consensus not to revive long-dead threads without a good reason.
