    Regarding difficulty:

Have you implemented the store (Pomab's Emporium) yet?
The first thing players are supposed to do in IWD, is go to that store and get appropriate weapons for all characters, and heavy armor for their melee characters. If you fight with only the starting equipment, it's gonna be... tough to make it through the prologue.
Even with proper equipment, the Orc cave is difficult though - many players resort to cheese tactics like kiting (though it is quite possible to beat it legitimately, e.g. the level 1 spell "Sleep" helps a lot).
The beetles in Grisella's basement, on the other hand, are not supposed to be a real danger - they're more of a joke quest poking fun at the "fighting rats in a basement" RPG trope.

We have the Shopmap from the Co8 patches, plus Pomab's store is in and working (kind of) I do need to rebuild his store though or more appropriately make an invensource.mes line for it as when it respawns it reverts to Rannos and Gremag's store from ToEE.

I have a new patch uploading now, I didn't include the maps or Videos as they are already in the other .zip but it's still 480mb is size. It doesn't seem to have finished uploading to Onedrive yet, but I'll post a link when it has.

All monsters have been added in correct locations, and given some equipment, the battles themselves need a little fine tuning, the Orc Shaman aren't casting their spells, archers standing still and I want to set up scout points so Goblins and Orcs actually run for backup.

The 'Speaking Goblin' is set to KOS when he shouldn't be and neither he nor Lubash in the tower have their dialogue files yet.

The Shipment Contract in the possession of the Ogre on the Orc cave does advance the vars [3] to 2 fir the good ending, but still claims to be a Note from an anonymous sender when used... couldn't figure out where the text was to change it, and speaking to Gaspar with it, you can inform him where the shipment went but the contract remained with my party instead of transferring to the NPC.

The rest states for a few maps are still wrong, the inn and all of Easthaven should be pass time only (unless paying for a room) Kuldahar pass should allow camping but is set to pass time only.

Yes the kids are working great, Jhonen also needs some floatlines about the songs keeping him awake as well though.

Ok, Jhermzy is done but I won't be able to test and upload it for another 12 hours or so, gotta go to work. On the upside, I've worked out why the damn run-offs weren't working properly - I forgot you have to finish the dialogue and do it as a timed event a second later.

Allyx - For me, it is not possible to save games. Each time I save a game it is flagged as corrupt.

I even reverted back to my ToEE backup from before any IWD. I then used the IWD module package from Oct 31, then I activated the module.

Once the module was activated, I copied in this newest patch.

I started a new game and I did play through it before my party was wiped out in the cave.

Things in town work better. Resting is now passing time. In the previous module when I rested in the tavern we were attacked by 3 gnoll skeletons...the patrons get stood around placing wagers on the battle o_O

In the pass, the orc that is standing outside the cave just stands there. Is he supposed to run away, or do something?

The Orc outside the cave should run off, but of you do catch him and kill him he sets the flag for finding the caravan either way.

Are you able to save after starting a new game at all, or are those corrupted as well? I did have that issue before but had fixed it... It's odd that it should be reoccurring now.

EDIT: I'll double check my install works when I get home in about half an hour (it was working fine before I left for work), package up my module and upload it again.

Yeah, the outside orc just stands there and when I click on him he goes "ugh". That's it. I thought that I did see him (or something shadowy) run off in the previous versions. This newest patch seems to have broke him.

All saved games are corrupt. I tried in the beginning shop map while initially equipping my peeps, and at any time I attempt to save in town.

I've tested my game and it works just fine, I also activated my 31st October package to my -copy install, added the files I .zipped and uploaded, and that works just fine too, I also extracted the .zip file to the same folder in case it was the .zipping process that corrupted the game, and it still works just fine.

I also file compared my current install, and my -copy install (here's where it gets a bit weird) the -copy install has more .mob files than my current install in both Easthaven and the Orc Caves. you can try deleting the following from Easthaven:

    D:\Atari\Temple of Elemental Evil - Copy\modules\ToEE\maps\AR1000_Easthaven\G_2D3D678E_876B_6F2A_639F_ACF8EF367450.mob

    Then see if it works?

When I got the same issue with corrupt saves I seem to remember seeing a bunch of weirdly named files in the root folder that shouldn't be there - they also started with a "G" if I recall correctly, delete those if they are present and see if that helps?

Failing that, try again with a clean install?
