Details are here. In short, TemplePlus (or Temple+) is an engine extension, allowing people to do things with ToEE that would be impossible with just scripting.

I figure y'all should get together and talk about y'all's discoveries, like how to easily integrate Co8 with Temple+. I'm also spreading the word so more people know of this. Enjoy!

If you search for templeplus you will find many posts from DarkStorm and SitraAtra and their history here developing Templeplus.

I've been using the alpha build for a few months and keeping track of the bug fixes on github. It's some amazing work they've done. If you don't mind the occasional crash (As if vanilla didn't crash all the time too) then I recommend it. Plus it integrates perfectly well with the Circle of Eight add ons.

What are the plans to merge the projects?

Just making it more compatible I suppose. It already is to a large extent since I've played the Verbonc content with no problems.

    Hi

You can plop TemplePlus on top of Co8 right now with no problems (well, other than the fact that it's still an alpha version, though starting beta soon). In the future I think there ought to be a combined download/installation, and hope the folks at Co8 agree too, but it's too soon to discuss it right now for technical reasons.

    Hi again,

Temple+ is out now. You can grab it off ModDB:

    http://www.moddb.com/mods/temple1

Like I said, I think there ought to be a combined Co8 / Temple+ installation, to minimize user confusion and organically handle integration / compatibility issues. Let me know if you're interested in hashing it out.

If my last programming course wasn't over 20 years ago, I'd give it a go. At the very least, I agree there should be a single installation package.

The technical bits aren't the most significant thing, it's mainly about the responsibilities and administration. Does Co8 release the package, or do we? How is support handled? Stuff like that.

Ah, then I'm not really in a position to hash it out then. I'd think Gaear would have to weigh in on that.

I'm really interested in this. What exactly are details on compatibility between Co8 and Temple+? Do we get the full features of both mods with them installed? Nothing clashing between the two? For example, if you make a new UI for the game, what if I like the Co8 UI better and want that one to be used in game instead?

Thanks for all your hard work, ToEE is still my second favorite game of all time after all these years, in part thanks to the fantastic work everyone has done to add to the game and make it fill its potential it had.

I downloaded and attempted to install the Temple+ mod a few minutes ago, my Windows 10 PC with Norton 360 are complaining about the download being unsafe, I've included a screenshot.

One more thing to Sitra. I noticed barbs got more skills for their post 10 level stuff, which is nice. Will you do the same and implement all of the monk feats and abilities that are not in the game? Monks would have great utility to stand out if they got their post 10 feats that are currently unimplemented.

It's compatible with Co8 by design.
The UI currently has just minor tweaks and improvements. Future UI wilo have to be expanded to support new classes and such, but at the minimum we'll have something that l0oks like tge current one.

Probably, yeah. I'll be adding more class and racial modifiers in the near future in preparation for new classess and such.
