Heh - there's an imp in D:OS named Sitra Achara. Coincidence?

I bought the game at full price and had a fantastic playthrough last year. I can say without a doubt that it was a finished game. The early access version was the beta, and I did not buy it during that time.

What the enhanced edition seems to be doing is to take feedback from the (previously) finished version of D:OS and innovate and add new things in every way possible. It's FREE to those who have already bought D:OS, so there isn't a problem with this, it's essentially an expansion to the game.

So far, from what I have seen across Larian's postings, the enhanced edition will include:
-Main story is entirely revamped, it was cliche and forgettable before, but the combat was the hook anyway, this will be a nice addition
-New difficulty mode, hardcore, where they redesigned every single fight in the game individually to give the enemy SMARTER AI, not just stat scalings
-New skills and ways to build characters
-New user interface, a welcome edition because the previous one was a bit wonky for inventory
-Economy and item values completely re-hauled throughout the game. Rare items will actually be worth more and common items worth less.
    -New/better ending
    -New/improved side quests
    -Split screen co-op for pc

Reminder, this is being treated as a new game and is given free to people who already bought D:OS. Larian made a fantastic decision by doing this.

According to Larion it is a completely new game and will list separately in your Steam library.

I'm happy to see its being built to take advantage of DX11 and 64 bit operating systems myself.

Sigh, if only Square Enix did the same with Dark Souls 2: The Scholar of the First Sin.

I thoroughly enjoyed DOS. I liked its tongue-in-cheek attitude and was impressed by the battle system. I did not finish it because my PC's graphics card died and now only runs in software/safe mode but I'd love to...
