Strong Natural Rolled 5 PC parties (and many other questions)

Unless things have changed in the NC 8.1.0 items disappear after a few game days but I'm unsure of exactly how long. The only safe containers I can think of early on- at least until you get to Nulb and buy a house- is the chest in the spider's tower in the Moathouse and maybe Laereth's dresser and the chest in Welkwood Bog. As for the divination spells I can't say that I've ever used them to any extent in this game but there may be some Verbonnoc related quests there they come in handy but I haven't done any of those since NC 8.01...

 

The random barrels around Hommlet are also generally safe. That's where I normally toss all the slings and clubs I loot.

 

I've never had anything disappear that I have stored inside a barrel or chest, other than the interplanar chest. But barrels do have a finite limit to # of things that can be shown in their contents list. Above that limit (~50 not sure) things start getting stacked on top of each other and it starts becoming a buggy mess of disappearing and reappearing items.

There is a barrel behind the Leatherworker's House in Hommlet which can serve till you set up base in the Moathouse Tower. You can also safely store stuff under Rainbow Rock in Emridy Meadows.

 

I've always used the well to the left of the Jeweler's shop. There's a nice bonus there too.

Has Buy-Point glitch stopped working in 8.1? I cannot recreate it.

And another question - where screenshots are saved? I am playing on the laptop, Win8 and using FN + End (PrtSc).
