    Re: toee game at risk

Unfortunately, I don't think signatures will solve this money issue.

You can see some of the mechanics of this game already in use in another of bit-composer's games, (conquistadors).

Sadly, I think a group of good intentioned game makers got swallowed up by a group of businessmen and the result is .... we lose.

    Re: toee game at risk

My brother-in-law was offered a job at a subsidiary of a major Games company based in the Uk, but Before he started he was put on hold as the company was “restructuring”.

Turns out the parent company transferred all the code to itself while leaving as much debt with the subsidiary as possible and then wound up the subsidiary.

This turns out to be s.o.p in the games developing world. What can you say? Capitalism sucks.
    :thumbsdow

I would hope that a concerted campaign might convince bit-composer that there is a very large market for the game which would justify continued expenditure on getting it completed.

I know the chances of a petition working are a million to one, but then ........

Not much to say except that I hope they make it through.

Also, kind of sad to see only 500 or so signatures. It's possibly more harm than good at this level.

This sucks. That game looked really good. It always amazes me that someone could invest 1000s of development hours into a project only to shelve it. Makes you wonder what other Would-Be Classics are out there.

And to answer an earlier thread, The new XCom Enemy Unknown is fantastic. They really captured the spirit of the original whilst making it captivating for a modern audience.
