[un-bumping prev topic for shiningTED - respect]

If you would like to fix a problem with your Direct X bugs
    or run a game with a previous version of DX;
How to de-grade or re-install a different (newer or older) version of
    Direct X?

here I will show how to manage your DX versions running using
windows or any other reliable registry edititor.

    step 1:

Create a restore Point (is a good idea)
Open regedit (or other registry editor)

    step 2:

    export registry Tag (back up)
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Directx
save as <(dx + your current version number)>.reg

    step 3:

    [delete] the entire folder (key)
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Directx
    key

    step 4:

    a. for some reason setup cannot find file [framedyn.dll]
, and as pre-caution [copy] file from
    WINDOWS\system32\wbem\framedyn.dll
    to
    WINDOWS\system32\
directory if you have it there
run the direct x setup install for the version you want to use.

    step 5:

restart PC after DX setup is complete.
run dxdiag.exe tool from run prompt to confirm that you had
indeed converted your dx version downgrade.

please realize that if you have problems doing this,
    I advice againts the idea,
but if you had trouble, just try to use the restore point
you created to regain and restore the settings you had previously.

    -------------------------------------------
    I had successfully downgraded from
    DXv 9.0c final
    to
DXv 9.0b (included with/on/in toee play disk)

using only windows explorer and regedit and dx setup
    (windows XP OS)

Oh-no, can you alter Zuggtmoy's model to a mind-flayers? It would be a suitable model, I would do the art, like what I did in the familiars. Let's avoid legal/moral stuff etcetera so forth, you're a good modeler, you still need to breathe the air of co8, KotB and ToEE need more models and stuffs!

    you are off subject;
but if thats what you want, provide me here with your concept art design idea's
about this change, and also provide me with the reason's for this mod and support character stat and rule ideas and background to the reasons of its encounter.

The idea is to create a rich repository of models, containing unique weapon and creature models. This will benefit both basic and advanced forum modders, who are prone of using repetitive art and models. I'm not into encounter per creature, and I will not stray far from the objective, we'll just provide completed models. We'll make most* of the 'Underdark' model creatures, interested?

    Zoltec, since we are on the subject;
have you created anything simular or related to that you are requesting.
Have you created any new original or like original, weapons, armor, clothing,
    or items?
have you had any success creating a re-molded creature monster (new too toee)?

    ---------------------------------
I know what creature you seek from me; the drider ; or lolth herself perhaps?
untill I create a Bone painter for SKM files, this achievement is beyond the reach or scope of the tools created.

I am having a hard time thinking that such tools (time, energy, design, a brain, food) creation would be appriciated for what they are worth.

if I had created a Bone painter, you could create anything you desire
using original skeleton bones as templates (anything in the monster manual's)
    ----------------------------------

as I had said before, if this was to exist, and available for anybody, I would be throwing atari's (TOEE) engine into peoples garages for free', and giving them gas for it.
-I said also, that I was not trying for this to happin-
-this was also the reason I had stopped updating the SKM tool sets progression
    on this forum.

I have a remolded creature here at my end ( though I still considered your rules in the process ie don't remove 'this' and 'that' ). It's actually a modified gnome model. You don't need to create such, your present SKM tool is enough. We'll just modify the existing models ( like what we did with the familiars ), our concept art will be based on the existing color palette of monsters in Icewind Dale I.

I think such tool will be appreciated in this community, but of course, if you believe in that outlook, I respect that. As I said, we do not need such tool, we'll modify the pre-existing models available in the game. We'll just further beautify them, and give them an accurate feel. You are contributing models right? Scorpions' and alike. We'll just make a compilation of goodies made available for the use of co8 community.

Sorry, I need to retract this word from my earlier statement. I won't blame you, if you misinterpreted my words, it's my fault.
