@SA, I added your post 1282 stuff already and will add your post 1286 stuff shortly. I haven't tested the SW thing - I can make a nominal attempt at that but don't have time for anything extensive.

I'm a bit sceptical about this "fix", since I'm not so sure that this is an "exploit" in the first place. This is a pretty advanced spell; animals and dumber creatures probably wouldn't figure out what's going on; why wouldn't they just bash harder? Basically being offered the chance to retarget should require a spellcraft check.

It's better than the alternative, which is that sentient foes wail in futility on the protected party member. I can consider adding exceptions to low int critters, but it's a lower priority.

Sirchet this is great. In the game I'm playing now, I'm in the nodes so some of this I'll have to wait till next game for, but this is long over due. The killing things "one at a time" fix could be used in a lot of places like the goblins in W.B.. The added "reactivity" will really help make the game more pnp like. Where adversaries will not stand idle as their comrades get slaughtered in earshot.

    Attached:

-Revamped Iuz AI: Iuz is now using latest AI improvements, and the reported AI issues have been corrected. Plus, a special treat for whoever tries to run away.
(it's possible that the Iuz fight is unbeatable now, but I'd love to be proven wrong)

-Enhanced the big bugbear fight on Temple level 2: The obvious strategy here was always to hold one of the chokepoints with your tanks and let the casters sling spells from behind. The bugbears are now scripted to recognize this - after a few turns, bugbears who can't engage you from the front will come at you from behind.

Cool SA, that's always been a good fight with just using the attrition method, especially if they mange to trip one of your tanks.

    This is all exciting stuff!

EDIT: I was talking about the big bugbear fight, I leave the God killing to uber players. :)

THANK YOU! That has always been a wish of mine, only that I lack the skills to implement it. Bugbears are supposed to be relatively smart and tactical, so it's really the obvious thing to do.

I guess by "dumber creatures" I also meant most sentient foes. There are only very few fights where it really feels like a cheap tactic to me. Actually I can only think of the balor guardian where summoning a hound archon and putting him in a sphere makes the fight nearly ridiculous.

So now not only do I have to worry about those miniature giants tumbling past my front line fighters to get at my wizards- but now they're going to attack from the rear as well? Guess I'll finally be using more of the defensive spells for my spell slingers now (I might actually try crafting a few wands- Wand of Tasha's Hideous Laughter and Grease anyone?)...

Finally tested the spiritual weapon fix - seems to work without issues, at least in nominal testing.

This is a bit late, but in 7.9, I'm having a crash anytime I kill a Fire Temple bugbear. Other bugbears don't seem to be a problem. Hopefully this doesn't carry over to v8.0.

After some experimentation, I was able to kill the 58 hp one in the main room with the two sub-priests, but then two of the 46 hp ones drank potions and the game crashed. Whatever it is, it seems to only affect the 46 hp Fire Temple bugbears.

Something seems a bit wonky with Jakk, Bing, and the masterwork items. Jakk is offering masterwork stuff already, but keeps going about how he cannot make them without the help of Bing, Bing says that he feels much better, but that making masterwork items takes time and I shouldn't be impatient (after a couple of weeks), Lisbeth also still complains about Bing being sick. Is it maybe a problem if I use an npc (Ronald) to cast the spell on Bing?

I'm almost through my play through of 7.9 before switching to 8.0.1, and noticed Veenah (in Verbobonc) still isn't buying clothing for full price. Has this been fixed in v8?
