It does work .... If you have an off hand weapon in the second hand.

Interesting. Does it properly stack with flurry of blows (say, a monk off-handing a siangham)? Always loved those "billion attacks that don't do anything" type characters. :p

Actually I don't remember trying it. I usually end up turning off rapid attack by this stage because of the penalty.

I have never managed to get the "flee combat" option to work in open world fights, but if you put enough distance between your party and the opposition the game drops out of combat mode. Then you can move to another location as normal.

^Confirmed. Though sometimes the battle resumes again even my party is out of visible range.

I've never tried it but is it possible to cast Teleport in the middle of a fight?

I think flee combat may require that there be a portal you had used during your current gaming session to get where you are. (e.g., you went from Temple level 1 to level 2, then got in your fight, and you can then flee back to level 1.) That would explain why it doesn't work on outdoor maps that you got to via the worldmap. Worldmap travel doesn't use portals.

It is not possible to cast a teleport spell directly but you can teleport out of a fight using a scroll or other item that stores the spell

The first Person through the door is always in the no 1 slot on the left of the portraits.

Actually, if you only select one of your characters, he will be the first person through the door. This is useful for the Waterside hotel when dealing with the pickpocket.

I tried that too, it didn't work. even if only one is selected, he/she has to be in the first slot

Any slot is fine, at least to my experience.

My rogue is usually the third slot and I select her and have her go through the door because of her high spot skill and she is the one that the wench tries to steal from.

Just did Nulb last night with my NE party- the rouge is in the 1st spot but the character with the highest Spot skill, my elven druid, is in the 3rd position. If you select a single character- regardless of their position in the party- their Spot skill is the one used. If you go in as a group the highest Spot skill of any character in the party is used. Also about a third of the time Darla makes no attempt at pickpocketing you- at least according to the rolls history (which remains blank)...

    On a lighter note...

I never knew this game could make me laugh until I heard Fruella's dying words, or Zaxis's comments on entering Nulb.
