Yeah, I did go to him but I couldn't end the quest. I had 1 witness, 1 confession and 1 Childs Necklace. Thats 3 evidence. I thought that maybe you had to find the children anyway.

Btw, thanks alot for the help. :) Now I should be able to finnish the rest by myself. It was the
    "Hiding by tables and chairs"
that got me sidetracked. Still strange that I haven't found them anyway since I have been running around all over the place. I guess I have just been unlucky.

When you go to the capt with the info, does he say how do you know, and then end the conversation?

No. I can only ask for information about the kidnapings or say that I can't solve it.
Maybe it has to do with me knocking out the Day Steward after.

Does the place the children and the Madman are at change every time you go down in the sewars or is is fixed the first time you go down after you get the quest?

Edit: FINALY i found the madman. He was in the absolutly last place I checket (I can hear the game laughting at me).
I also found the children. :)

One suggestion from someone who had a really har time crackinmg this, maybe
you should put a hint in the game that you can't find the children untill you find Panathaes or something. When I found out where the children where I spent hours searching for them at that spot and now they where just there at the same place I had look for them so many times. And maybe some help on finding Panathaes from the Gnome at the Rabbit Hole? He only help you making the Steward's talk. Maybe also a hint of how high your spot have to be even by someone telling you it's to low if it is.
Anyway, it was anice quest. Just extreamly difficult and frustrating, and boring since there is no real action in it making searching the sewars for hours really draining you energy. Not saying that you should make it more action oriented. Just that you might wan't to think of that and make the searching the sewars more fun some way.
As I understand it this is a compleatly new quest somaybe you are planing some more work in it later.
But I loved the ending so don't change that. :)

    Just some friendly criticism. :)

Also, I found a bug. When I give the evidence to the captain he say that he will take it but he never does. Also I can't tell him that I found Panathaes and raport on that.

Yeah, HeJason had the same issue there, so there must be something wrong with that yet. I'll look it over.

Thanks for the other feedback. This whole routine is indeed new and is being refined, so your input is helpful. I did intend originally to throw in a few funguses or slimes or whatever, per the stewards' warnings, but I ran out of time. They will probably be added in the future just to mix things up a bit, as you say, but the quest will primarily always be a 'thinking' quest.

I'm glad you persisted at got it solved. :)

I have tried and tried, but still cannot find the guy. My rogue has a search and a spot of about 30 now, including the equipment he is wearing. I have marched all over the sewers (keeping left hand on the wall) and have even done a search in the "obvious" places you mentioned. No Joy.

You mentioned 10 game-feet. How wide are most of the corridors? I would have thought 10 feet or less.

So, now I am moving on to the temple to do the elemental tasks. I hope that either someone gives me a hint as to where I've gone wrong or a light bulb clicks.

I've talked to the day man and the night man -- twice each, doing what the gnome suggested. I've gone back to the captain, but got nowhere useful. Also the lizard.

    Am I missing something?

He should be there somewhere. If you want to post a save, I'll take a look.

I don't know how to post a save, can you point me to where it is described?

Does it need to be a save in the sewers? I have moved on and am fighting fire demons now, but I could probably find a save closer to where I gave up (for now).:tired:

It just needs to be a save that is current with what your situation is in the sewers, i.e. not before you got the quest.

Go to your ToEE/modules/ToEE/saves folder and copy all six files from the save in question. Put them in a .rar file and upload here as an attachment. If the .rar file is too large, you'll have to upload to a file sharing site and link to it here.

Here is the save game attachment you requested. Hope you can see what I might have done wrong.

One thing I thought about was that after I charmed the one guy, he kept following me around like a puppy, but disappeared when I went up to the surface. Wonder if that might have caused some variable not to get set?

Okay, I loaded it up and he is there. Look for him in a cave-like area of the sewers.

For those of you who've had issues with being able to tell Abiram how you know who did it, have you had multiple discussions with either or both of the stewards about it where they repeat their dialogue in an obviously erroneous fashion, as if they're saying it for the first time?

Also, for those who have had success with Abiram, do you have multiple choices of what to tell him your evidence is?

    Well, I went back down and looked at multiple places where the ground changed into cave like. I have finally found him. Now all I need to do is to figure out how to get him to talk to me:-}}

    Thanks.

Is he always in the same place, or does it vary with different game starts?

It varies, but it won't change within one playthrough. e.g., he won't move between trips down there, but he may move from one game to the next.

    I'm stumped again.
I found Panathaes. I found the children. I marched them all up to the surface, but the children disappeared as soon as I climbed the stairs. I took three things out of Panathaes' inventory as evidence. I entered one piece of physical evidence into evidence, used another to talk with Panathaes furthrer and read the third piece. I took Panathaes to Captain Abiram. The captain took charge of him. I said that I'd solved the disapearance, and was asked how I knew that Panathaes was guilty. When asked how I knew, I got no dialog option to say -- just the goodby option.

Is it possible that I messed up the quest because a long time ago, I came up and told the captain I knew who had done the kidnapping?
What now? Is there some global flag set wrong that I can reset?
