    Hi all,

It's been a couple of months since I've had the time to play TOEE and I'm having a great time going through the 6.0.x NC. It's really fun seeing how much changes/improves between versions - the last time I played, the temple factions were still wimps, and now they're all organized and gnarly!

The issue I'm facing is figuring out how to initiate the Verbo quests besides the ones immediately available from the Viscount and constable (i.e. Drow -> White Dragon, the three fugitives, and the slavers.)

For instance, I know Lerrick is a lying conniving agent of the Scarlet Brotherhood, but short of just marching in to the bar and initiating combat, I have no way of pursuing that fact in the game.

Likewise, I know there are some Hextorites lurking around (from reading about them on the forum), but I can't figure out how to get the official information / quest from anybody. The canon of the Pelor temple just offers to raise dead and doesn't initiate anything.

    Any hints on this stuff?

Thanks as ever, and cheers to Gaear and the team of developers for all of their hard work.

I was planning to add information on how to initiate all of the quests in the game to the game guide & walkthrough thread earlier but I haven't got around to it yet.

Note: In order for Darlia to appear on the top floor of Zeebel's Maroon Moon in Verbobonc, you have to talk to the Maitre'd on the ground floor of Zeebel's Maroon Moon and choose the correct dialogue options (the PC talking needs a high enough skill). Then talk to the Maitre'd again, pay 100 Gold, and Darlia (Manager) will now be on the top floor of Zeebel's Maroon Moon.

    Verbobonc Quests:

Building Credit (talk to Maurice (Banker) in the Silver Consortium) (you can only get this quest if you buy the Castle of the Lords but don't pay for it in one payment)

Catching the 'Cousin' (during the day, talk to Wilfrick (Lord Viscount) in the Lord Viscount's chambers in City Hall after Darlia has offered you the 'Removing Wilfrick' quest)

Contract on Canon Thaddeus (talk to the "Priest of Pelor" in the cellar of the Cathedral of Pelor ruins)

Family Turmoil (talk to Elysia in the Lord Viscount's Manor)

Fear of Ghosts (when it is night, go up to the top floor of the Castle of the Lords and attack the ghost)

Framework of a Murder (talk to Darlia (Manager) in Zeebel's Maroon Moon) (Darlia's quest #2)

Frozen Assets (talk to Wilfrick (Lord Viscount) in the Lord Viscount's chambers in City Hall during the day) (Wilfrick's quest #1)

Monster Mash (talk to the "Priest of Pelor" in the cellar of the Cathedral of Pelor ruins and then talk to Canon Ramses (Priest of Pelor) on the top floor of the new Cathedral of Pelor and mention the Hextorites) (you can't complete this quest when you return to Canon Ramses after defeating the Hextor cell due to a bug)

Removing Wilfrick (talk to Darlia (Manager) on the top floor of Zeebel's Maroon Moon) (Darlia's quest #3)

Robbery at the Hostel (talk to Darlia (Manager) on the top floor of Zeebel's Maroon Moon) (Darlia's quest #1)

The Slave Traders (talk to Wilfrick (Lord Viscount) in the Lord Viscount's chambers in City Hall during the day) (Wilfrick's quest #2)

Under Attack from Underground (talk to Prince Zook IV (Gnome Prince) in the Gnome Quarter)

Under Surveillance (after you see a mysterious scarlet-robed person run to the exit and disappear (you need a high enough Spot skill) when your party appears on either the top floor of the Castle of the Lords, or the top floor of The Spruce Goose Inn (after you've rented the room to rest in), or the top floor of Jylee's Inn (after you buy the room upstairs from Jylee (Proprietor) in Jylee's Inn), talk to Darlia (Manager) on the top floor of Zeebel's Maroon Moon and question him about being followed)

You can talk to both Lerrick and Darlia about it. If you have high enough skills with Darlia, he will eventually admit it and the quest will be 'completed.' Lerrik never will admit it, but he will insult you creatively.

    That's Captain Achan, I believe.

@kungfuramone, the general rule of thumb is always just to go around and explore - enter buildings, talk to people, etc. And when you talk to people, make sure you're talker is doing the talking. You don't want your dumb-like-a-stump meat shield to be the party sociallite.

    @Gaear, yeah, understood.

My situation is basically that I don't have enough time to explore as much as I'd like; two jobs and a kid, etc. When I do get a chance to play games, I tend to try to get straight to the action (which, in this case, involves the cathartic release of hacking down Hextorite priests and their cronies, basically.)

That said, I will endeavour to figure out quest triggers to the best of my ability in the future.

I've searched and tried different things, but seem to have some issues (or I just cant figure it out)

    I've completed the wanted quests.

    I've completed the drow/gnome quest

I have the hint for under survellience, but cant get dialog for it

I've done the slave traders, but dont have dialog with wilfrick about it

I've killed the hexorites in ToEE, but cant get any new dialog from the pelor priests about it

I cant make the second payment for the castle

I dont have any dialog options with darlia

    I've done the ghosts quests.

I've done the family turmoil quest.

I accepted the contract on canon thaddeus quest, killed the hexorites for monster mash, but have no other dialog options

am I missing talking to someone or have I done a quest out of order that has made others unavailable?

I've got Darlia talking to me but he/she won't give me any quest. I already completed the Drow and dragon quests. Do I have to advance more in the game in order to get her/his qeusts?

What does he say? If he tells you to go bugger off, you're social skills aren't sufficient.

If you get in good with him and the SB, they'll start giving you quests right from the outset.

I know Gaear said it should not matter, but when i had the same problem all i did to get the dialogue with Darlia was to buy the castle.

I need some help on Frozen Assets. I got the quest, but I have no idea where to go. Is there another exterior map? How do I go to where the quest takes place? I've got 7.3.3 installed & activated.

Wilfrick mentions about the gnomes having problems in the Gnome Quarter when giving you the quest. Maybe you should pay them a visit ;)

SPOILER FOLLOWS, (Highlight the below area).

Take the navigation sign by the place you enter Verbo and choose Gnome Quarter, then head due East to the house with the guards and talk to the man in charge there.

The travel sign can be easy to miss, it looks almost like a large pane of glass on the side of a building just to the right of where you appear in Verbobonc.
