Indeed I'm not concerned if it's WAD. I'm concerned if there's something funky going on So... Can anyone tell me if not gaining XP at higher levels for killing low level junk is normal behavior? I restarted anyway, because I was having various annoying issues with the not finding secret doors and CTDs implying to me that something got junked in those saves anyway, but I'm still curious about this XP question. I continued clearing the 1st temple level (or 2nd, whatever) and got XP for some battles, but not for others. Killing a few zombies/ghouls gave nothing (or strige, rats, ...) killing the snake on the quest gave 50. I'd think that taking out 4 or 5 zombies would be around 50, or more, before hitting lvl9 I'd get 15-45 per undead. I also got zero for a random where I killed 3 lizardmen, but taking out a kobald sargent and his lackies gave me some. Oh, the other oddity was my wizard got whacked down to -1 Strength after some poison, so of course she was over burdened with any load. After resting her back to normal strength, she still listed as being overburdened, even with nothing in her inventory. Anyone seen this behavior?
Thanks Gaear I guess once the hidden doors fail to spawn, they do so in perpetuity for some reason. I can live without the fights vs Falrinth/ Smigmal, and the short cut into the Temple, but do I need the Skull to initiate WotGS? If so, is there a way to console it in? Also, can I add the ruined farmhouse to my map to have a look for the tunnel entrance there? (I deduct 2000 gp for consulting a Sage..) Thanks
Yes it is as the game planned for you not to get xp from killing creatures with a CR much lower than yours, so no worries there your game is acting normally. On the wizard issue; sometimes you have to give and take something from their inventory for the game to notice that you're no longer encumbered, I'd try giving him a suit of armor and then taking it back.
