Programming the Hommlet locals to nab the 1,000,000gps stash of diamonds I've bought from the jeweller and hidden in the well (to avoid Verbobonc taxes) should keep you amused Gaear......
Don't get too excited about this just yet, people ... it will mainly be a big map, minus complex plots and scenarios, but with lots of potential. All things in time and all that. It should be very atmospheric though - not a particularly pleasant place to be, which you would imagine might be the case with a sewer.
Old school monsters FTW! ...Aboleths? No story or sense required....just stick every monster from 1st and 2nd ed. in the sewer.
I think we're showing our age here folks ... Ahhhhh ... 1st edition when dwarf was a class and a thief was a thief!
The Tarrasque has a CR 20 rating...Perfect for the highend content. I find it strange that Ropers went from neutral in 1st edition to CE in 3.5. .
Weren't almost all animals and plant type creatures neutral in 1st ed? I think if they weren't smart they were neutral. And great picture, did you draw that?
1st edition was good, but 2nd edition ftw imo. Bards were serious tanks, illusionists were fun, and humans ruled the high level pc world. My favorite class was "The New Monk" from The Best of The Dragon Edition III.
No, I believe it is from the monster manual. Some people might enjoy this link about "D&D's Scariest Monsters (1977-1983)." http://www.somethingawful.com/d/dungeons-and-dragons/halloween-monster-scary.php?page=1
^^ reminded me that I hadn't checked their site in awhile. They have some pretty hilarious "play-through's" of older modules.
