No, they're like Rangers, except they can play baseball. ;)

Yes. Except the horses are under a car hood.

    "Steers and..."?

Hey you in the Peanut Gallery! Keep it quiet!

My first playthrough, I sold nearly everything to the smith... I didn't realize it mattered. Eventually I still had more money than I needed. ;)

    Hi Random1
To quote the old song, to get the best price "You better shop around" . Another person to sell magic items to for good prices is Calmert at the Temple.

Regarding your question about a Druid's animal companion: There are no consequences if a Druid's animal companion dies, but they they do get stronger as your Druid goes up levels. The moral of the story is that Animal companions require serious "babysitting" at the lower levels (assuming your Druid summons his/her companion at 1st Level) but after 7th Level (ask the party wizard/ Sorcerer nicely to cast "Stoneskin" on your follower) become a valuable asset. I've seen Meleny's "pet" Jackal (the best follower for a first level Druid to get) take down bugbears and Ogres by itself).

Why the hell do Elmo and Otis turn hostile on me on the Earth Temple room if I have Wonnilon in my party?!
This happened right after I recruited him and we opened the door to the room full of zombies.

That's a bug with the new NPC reaction conditions (what makes good ones attack you if you attack good people, etc. instead of standing there like they don't give a damn or even joining in) - already reported and already fixed for the next release.

Mouse movement gets really slow during combat in the Temple Earth node.
I guess maybe it's more correct to say: mouse movement slows down the game during combat. When I move the mouse I can see Romag's buffs-disco-lights slowing down, besides the slow mouse movement as well.

    Anything I can do?

    EDIT:
another issue. I think I the whole extraplanar chest thing.
I got a chest overflow (pun intended, programmer's will get it).
When I summon it a bunch of items I had there show up on the floor next to it. Before that, I was trying to move some loot into it until it gave a "no more space left" type of error.
Is there any risk that I've lost items I had there? :'(

    EDIT2:
Having only the extra-planar chest is getting complicated.
Is there any chest in Hommlet where I can stash my junk?
(oh man I'm on a roll today -- this one is not computer related)

    EDIT3:
Now Smithy is telling me he has no room when I try to sell him loot :'(
    Curse him!

You have two chests in your home in Nulb and when you get a message saying no more room, just scroll down in the chest inventory until some blank spots show up and place your stuff in them, this also works with selling stuff.

There are a couple of random barrels in Homlett you can use also. I got lucky and had one appear in Smith want later.y workshop. Handy to drop off some junk I might want later.

I also like to use the chest in the spider's lair outside the moathouse. I end up resting here a lot, especially if Homlett gets laggy.

I never bought the house in Nulb.
Damn geezer was asking too much money for it.

Great tip on that place General Ghoul.

So that means I'm safe to store my items in any chests and barrels? (for example even the ones in the temple main entrance?)

I've dropped several items near Smithy, stuff that nobody wanted to buy. And those items never disappeared. I'm guessing I could even leave my precious items laying around there.

So what exactly is the rule for items disappearing disappearing into oblivion?

    Thanks

EDIT: in the Temple Main Floor there is a locked door next to fancy chair. I opened that door, but there is no way to enter that room, nor is there any type of hotspot (you know, the blue stairs thingy). Is this a bug and my game will result in a deadend or what?

Nope that's not a bug - you'll find info like this from Sitra Achara's ToEE FAQ and references, I hope this will answer your question. ;)
