That was a similar plotline to Fallout? I never played that game, so I didn't know...

    What!! You haven't played Fallout?

In my opinion, Fallout 2 is the most fun.

Here's a link to get it cheap. Click Here to see it at G.O.G.

Not sure if the plotline is totally ripped off from Fallout. But the overgrown deranged (radiated) rodent who wants to conquer the world is a character called the Keen’ Rat in Fallout 2. (Not sure which came first Fallout 2, or the cartoon Pinky and the Brainy though).

Yep. Till the 7.0 Co8 arrives. :D I actually have my old Pentium II still running with the Win98 so I can play the original Fallout…

    Re: Your Favorite ToEE Quest/Plotline/Scenario/Battle

Well, I have so many games on my list to get to, and so many I have had to stop playing for time reasons... Fallout(s) sound fun, but right now, I got guildies beggin me to get back into WoW, My bi-weekly PnP DnD game that lasts all day, and Facebook. I really don't think I will ever get around to it, not while I am happily marreid, that is. (And want to stay that way)

I haven't even played 6.1 yet and never finished my 6.0 run, so the whole bunch of things after Zuggy goes down will be so new to me. :)

I finally retired from Farmville on FB, but they have a (relatively new) tremendously fun game called Monster Galaxy there, that is pretty much EXACTLY like playing the Pokemon cartoon.

Mogas (Short for MOnster GAlaxy, like Pkemon is short for POCKEt MONsters) battle using different attacks and special abilities, and have weaknesses and strengths based upon the Zodiac signs. It is all rather addicting and very fun. There are quests too, of course, and discovering new areas, and the urge to try to "Catch 'em all".

Oh well, we all could go on and on about other fun games, and we really should be back to the subject of the thread: this one!

The choice is yours. But remember, if you have not played either of the Fallouts you have not even scratched the surface of RpGs with computers. And do remember: Facebook is the source of all Evil, Farmville is equal in evil, only comes second with determination… WoW corrupts the soul. Hmm we have three of the Evils here: Satan, Leviathan and Belial, but where is the Angel of (false) light? Could it be Pokemon, the false idols?

    Re: Your Favorite ToEE Quest/Plotline/Scenario/Battle

Oh all right! I shall cave and at least move up Fallout to the TOP of my next game played list. As for the other games, I don't play Pokemon, or even watch it, but I did see the first movie with my step-son, so I recognize the format, and Monster Galaxy is just so much FUN.

I really have walked away from WoW permanently, I am sure, no desire there.

Facebook I use for actually social networking now (and Moga), so it is not too bad. A minor demon, perhaps? Maybe even a Good Vampire!

Farmville just got ridiculous with so many new and overlapping things popping up to do all the time. Took the fun right out of that game.

So...6.1 run, or Fallout.... hmmmm. Do I need a program to slow my system down to play Fallout? That seems to be alluded to above.

Good choice. But the original Fallout does not run with modern MS Windows crap. At least my original version dos not run without MS DOS based OS. But make no mistake, it is worth of it. I cannot say that I am old enough to remember horrors of the cold war, but I am old enough to remember the Tšernobyl and the Berlin wall crumbling down. The Fallout… well you have to find it out.

My original Fallout needs a DOS based OS to run. It doesn’t work with anything newer than millennium edition. But cannot say for sure whether there is a playable version in the market. Fallout 2 should work in any XP based OS. Correct?

Just get the GOG version and it will run without you sweating it. ;)

Fallout, Fallout2, or even Fallout Tactics ... they're all there for around $5.00 USD and they include any dos emulator or such that's needed without you doing anything but double clicking the game icon to play.

Heck, I'm playing Realms of Arkania now, (and it runs great) if any of you guys remember that one.

Crap. When I bought my Fallout box, the first one needed a DOS based computer to run. But heck I still have a working p2 with Win98 and two games: Fallout 1 and Jagged Alliance 2 with extension box.

I am not sure if there is a saying in English about giving a finger to Devil and ending up losing more than an arm... FB is just the most convenient way how your government can keep up with what you think and say. I do not mean to sound paranoid (which I am), but what other media requires all access and all rights to ones posts in eula? FB is just the first step to lose ones privacy, and it will not be the last. And what comes to keep in touch with people; have you ever heard about emails or sms? Those are encrypted...
