    The title says it all!

I've opened Co8 and BOOOM! there are evil blue letters all over!
    I do not like them.
Am I affected by some virus, or this is some new feature?

The "blue letters" (it's actually turquoise) are unvisited links. There's actually a distinction now unlike before when all links were the same colour as the text. As for colour preferences, the fact that some people won't like them is inevitable because it's impossible to make any colour changes that every single member would be happy with. Personally I think that the colour goes well with the overall theme, but if the board management wants to change any colours, they're free to do so.

The colour certainly doesn't burn anybody's eyes - not unless they've got some very weird monitor colour settings. The skin is still easy on the eyes.

Well, can the board management, please, change the colour of unvisited links, for it has bad contrast with the background colour of "CO8-obsidian" theme. That is in my opinion, of course, I do not want to offend aesthetic feelings of other members.

    EXAMPLE - Cyan
    EXAMPLE - Turquoise
    EXAMPLE - Pale Green
    EXAMPLE - White

I'm not sure where you're getting that from... or why is your list relevant since only turquoise is actually being used here? That one works fine, the rest are a bit too strong, but they're not used here so...?

Uhhh, I am sorry, I did not make my point clear with that list :)

I just wanted to show, that cyan and turquoise look bad, and other two colours are better suited for the purposes of designating unvisited links.

[EDIT] Well, maybe this is not so after all... The evil blue letters do not look so evil to me now, probably I have adapted.
Maybe I should not have this started.

Ok, not wanting to offend here as this is a totally honest question but are you colour blind by any chance? Clear white and pale green are much harder on the eyes than the darker turquoise.

Edit: ok, I was hoping that you'd come to the same conclusion. :D Colour changes take some getting used to, but I'm confident that these will work well here. The turquoise used here is even more muted than the MediumTurquoise you listed.

The "evil blue" colour you used in your last post to denote the colour used is incorrect.

    This is cyan.

This is the actual link colour.

Yes, but in this whole thread I was using cyan for "evil blue" without realizing another colour is used (until you have mentioned it).
For me difference is visible only when they are near each other.
AND they were equal in their offensiveness for me anyway :)
    But I am not colour-blind.

And I was not complaining because I do not like the colour (I like #00CCCC), it is just that certain combinations of text colour and background colour are harder to read than other combinations. This depends upon the contrast of the colours (the more - the better) and upon the background (light background is better than dark).

    I am not complaining anymore.

    EXAMPLE.
    Hard to read
    Easy to read

Not quite... fill the page with white here and you'll see why we don't use white for text. White on black is very hard on the eyes with a large amount of text.
