    There's JUST a campfire. Your party approaches to investigate. Suddenly, out of the darkness, a shadowy figure springs out...

    What's hard to swallow is that a high-level assassin would even confront his intended target at all before striking.

    With some of the politicians we have around in real life, I would believe it could be so.

    Any many of them seem to roll a 1 when they do their BS/Bluff checks. :D
