Well in my past plays any non Lawful priest who has the Law domain can NOT craft axiomatic weapons. Sucks but seems to be the Law. :thumbsdow

With this skill you can use any wand and any scroll, with any level spell (both arcane and divine schools)

    How it works:

When using a wand - you roll DC 20 to determine if you can use wand, if succeded, wand is used (doesnt matter what level spell and what your wisdom/inteligence)

When using scroll of spell level 0, 1, and 2 - roll DC 20 (exactly the same as wands, doesnt matter whats your wisdom/inteligence)

When using scroll of spell level 3 and higher - roll DC 20 first (determines whether you activated scroll or not), after that roll again; DC 30 to emulate ability score (wisdom/inteligence). You roll that DC 30 only when your ability is not enough (for example to cast fireball you need at least 13 Inteligence)

Example: Rogue with 14 Int and 8 Wis, can cast web, fireball, dimension door, improved invisibility from scroll after rolling DC 20. But to cast Teleport or Cone of Cold he rolls DC 20 and then DC 30

Same rogue (14 Int 8 Wis) can cast cure light wounds, bless, cure moderate wounds from scroll after rolling DC 20. But to cast cure serious wound or prayer he rolls DC 20 then DC 30.

But did they have a high enough level? It's not the domain as such, but access to the Order's Wrath (and Holy Smite, respectively) spell that should be the condition.

Thanks for clearing these up again.

    Great info on UMD!

Can anybody confirm the Domain vs Alignment crafting of Axiomatic weapons?

    The manual is no help!

I am starting to realize this more and more.

Can you explain a little more? Do you mean human "mobs" or for quests?

Also, does anybody use a 3.5 Character Generator and Leveler to help with this game?

If so can somebody drop the link for it?

    thanks.

I think I got everything else set expect these few things.

    BARD

Race: The bard will be my front man. He will just support everybody else and not need to do much damage. He will use charm like spells, do ranged when needed, hand to hand when needed, sing, and use wands.

I am thinking Elf won't help much as I would like to have the CON and he won't focus on longbow alone.

I like Half-Elf because of the: +2 to DIPL and Gather Info and Immunity to SLeep and +2 vs Ench spells.

Then I wonder if I want to have more Talker skills I could just take Human and the Negotiator Feat to get +2 on DIPL and Sense Motive as this might be more useful.

So how good is Gather Info?

Are there lots of mobs that use Sleep or other Enchantment spells?

Is the Negotiator Feat better than both of these?

FEATS: I will take Imp Inin first. Then prolly Negotiator, Persuasive, Spell focus Ench, and Spell Penet.

    WIZARD:

RACE: Elf or Human is what I am looking at as the Talking skills will be wasted for a Half Elf.

Human for the Feat or Elf for Longbow and DEX.

Is the longbow that much better than a little crossbow if I don't plan on going all the way?

FEATS: Imp Ini first. Then Craft and more craft. Also, Spell focus Evo and Spell focus probably.

    Thoughts?

For your Bard either case can be made. I personally like humans for the extra feat and skills, but go with what feels right for you.

For your wizard, seeing as he will most likely only be doing some missile fire now and then, you might want to again go with the human for the extra feat and not have the con hit that an elf has. Use a heavy crossbow or if you want to use something later, take repeating crossbow. There is a nifty one you can access at the Moathouse respawn.

To human or not to human, that is the question. The extra feat helps out in the early game, but by late game, you are struggling to choose a non lame feat. The longbow using elf sounds good, but the wizard BAB is so low, he will rarely hit anyway. Might as well go for the heavy crossbow halfelf, if he does hit, it can do more damage. Any you will find so many bolts, by end game he will have 8000.

Does the half elf saves to Ench and sleep immunity come in handy? Since the bard is good crowd control it might suck to have him get CCed.

    How useful is gather info?

I like the idea about the human wiz. If i take the rep crossbow feat are there other feats i must have or would that just be enough for an extra kick?

I was looking at half elf/human for bard and elf/human for wiz. Do you mean using a half elf for a wiz?

From my experience your enemies very seldom cast sleep, so that is not a factor in my opinion. The saves to enchant can be nice, but not as critical that a cloak of resistance can not help out or later on a mantle of spell resistance. :)

Just the feat to use the repeating crossbow is enough. You can of course add other archery feats, but better to use them for crafting, meta magic, spell focus and penetration.

Overall, make the character that suits what you want. Sure you can plan out the best, but why not just play what feels right and play through any limitations. You can always play a new game or console any egregious mistakes if you do not want to start again.

Take mine and anyone else's suggestions as that, and go with your gut. Heck, you might just find yourself having some fun with the varieties that abound in TOEE. :D
