People do some strange things while driving, things both having to do with driving and not. Are you one of them? Do you: Use your turn signal when turning into your driveway? Wait for red lights at empty intersections? Text while driving? Apply makeup while driving? Eat while driving? (I don't mean snacks, I mean meals.) Also: How many red lights have you run in your life? What's the fastest speed you've ever traveled while driving? How many moving violation tickets have you received? Have you ever had 'relations' while driving? Do you drive slower than the posted speed limit, particularly on expressways? I was going to post a poll for this but the answers are more complex than yes and no. So, Dizcuzz!
Okay: 1. Yes, always, also while turning and changing lanes. 2. Yes, all the time. 3. Yes 4. No, I'm male though, so that is to be expected. ( I know, I know, not guaranteed, but YES, expected) 5. Yes, but not often. 6. Maybe 3 or 4, not including speeding up for yellows that I didn't make (another question that should have been onthis list) All but one of those accidental. Hey, everyone does it just ONCE on an empty road 7. 102 mph, in a rental car, and the cop got me too. 8. I am 41, I have gotten about 8 moving violations in 22 years of driving. Also, if you count tickets for accidents, maybe another 3 more. 9. Of course, hasn't everyone? Hey she initiated it, I didn't even ask! 10. I usually do 3-5 mph over the posted speed limit. I will drive slightly under the limit in rain. And lets add: 11. Do you speed up or slow down for most yellow lights? As I said, for me, speed up.
1. No. 2. Yes. Unless I'm driving south of 40th Avenue on Halsted, after Sunset, in Chicago. 3. F*** NO!! Sorry insurance adjuster in me. 4. Not since I decided to go with a more natural look. I love aging gracefully. 5. No. Just drink.* 6. More than 5. Less than 10. Most would be "close calls". Light was yello when I entered the intersection... barely. Only busted once. Female cop in the gas station across the street. Never saw her. Definitely saw me. No amount of flattery/sweet-talk/etc worked. 7. 85MPH. Gods I loved that '85 Cadillac! What a roar. 8. Happy to say less than 10 in my entire history. Though the last one was a doozy. 9. While driving? Actual relations? No, that would be difficult. Certain acts are possible, but not recommended. Only a partial voice of experience here, though. Again, the adjuster in me. 10. No. I drive no more than 8MPH over the limit. Keeps you under 90% of the rader. Highways and expressways I'll do no more than 60MPH for fuel economy. *Water, you twisted :censored: .
1. Yes. 2. Yes. 3. Never. 4. Do not use any. 5. Never. BMW is no restaurant. 6. One or two, by mistake. 7. 193 km/h some 119,66 mph according to GPS, on a german autobhan during a roadtrip from Helsinki to Istanbul via 18 countries 8. 3, which caused me to lose my licence for two months (and a lot of cash) 9. Sadly no, but BMW is no hotel/motel either. 10. Always faster than the limit during summertime. During winter it depends on the weather. 11. Slow down, especially during winter or risk not being able to stop before crashing.
1. Yes 2. Yes, altho if there happens to be some kind of parking lot, or gas station on the corner I'll sometimes cut through there 3. No 4. N/A 5. I'll eat McDs while driving sometimes, like a cheeseburger n frys 1. One but that was deliberate, as it was the middle of the night and it was the first set of lights in the area I live in, it took about 3 trys cos it kept turning green 2. 180km/h 3. if that means speeding tickets then 2 otherwise wtf is a moving violation ticket 4. No, oh wait, there was this one time... 5. No I generally drive (according to my speedo) 9km/h faster than the posted limit (altho my speedo says I'm traveling 10% slower than I actually am). [EDIT] bonus question, if I can stop safly I'll stop, if not I drive at the same speed I was already driving at and feel really smug about it.
Moving violation = any ticket you might receive while driving, such as for speeding, running red lights, or avoiding traffic control devices by cutting through private drives and lots, etc. I'm surprised that everyone signals to turn into their driveway. If no one is there, who are you informing that you're turning?
It is a reflex. I drowe a truck for living for four years. 12h a day, 2-4 days a week. And it is better to overdo it than underdo it.
I was the only one who answered no, go figure. No need where I live. To be fair (and technical) the Queen answered "sometimes". So there's two.
Do you: Use your turn signal when turning into your driveway? No and sometimes I brake quickly if a fool is close behind. Wait for red lights at empty intersections? Certainly. Text while driving? I don't text period, call me or keep it to yourself. Apply makeup while driving? Only when in drag ... OK, never. Eat while driving? (I don't mean snacks, I mean meals.) Absolutely not. Also: How many red lights have you run in your life? One, by accident and it almost cost me and my wife our lives. What's the fastest speed you've ever traveled while driving?120 mph How many moving violation tickets have you received? There's no telling. Between my 16 and 18th birthday I refused to "bow to the man" and racked up so many the judge actually shuffled them like a deck of cards ... and then locked me up. Have you ever had 'relations' while driving? Yeeeeeeees. Do you drive slower than the posted speed limit, particularly on expressways? I follow the old rule of how much over the limit you can go. 8 you skate, nine your mine. Two of my little brothers are Palm Beach County Deputy Sheriffs.
Re: Irrelevant Tangents Here's another one for driving behaviors: 12) Follow the arrows in large supermarket parking lots? I do if it's convenient. But I don't believe the law says anything about parking lots. Does it? So if it isn't convenient, I don't. I've actually had passengers point out to me that I was going against the arrow. Which I think is rather funny.

Re: Irrelevant Tangents yes i noticed that too. parking lots are considered as.. well paring lots. highway rules dont pass there
Re: Irrelevant Tangents oops! Guess I put the post in the wrong topic, lol. I'll move it. So then your post will look odd all by itself. Sorry.
Do you: Use your turn signal when turning into your driveway? --No Wait for red lights at empty intersections? --Of course Text while driving? --Sometimes Apply makeup while driving? --No way it would look awful. Eat while driving? (I don't mean snacks, I mean meals.) --Not if I need utensils but I'll chow a fast food meal no problem. Also: How many red lights have you run in your life? --Maybe two, nopt intentionally. What's the fastest speed you've ever traveled while driving? --85mph How many moving violation tickets have you received? --Zero; I have never been pulled over. Have you ever had 'relations' while driving? --Not while driving.I think most girlswould be hard-pressed to do so. Do you drive slower than the posted speed limit, particularly on expressways? --Nope I try to just do the exact speed give or take a couple mph. Do you speed up or slow down for most yellow lights? --I never speed up, but I only slow down if not doing so would cause me to run the light. Follow the arrows in large supermarket parking lots? --As Scryler said, if it's convenient. The parkinglot at my local shopping market looks like a Mario Kart track. Impossible handling would be required to navigate it properly. Do I use my cell phone while driving? --Not very often. Drive while under the influence? --Sometimes Steer with my knees? --Never. Drive a nerdy car? --I don'town a car. I drive almost every day, but always in a borrowed set of wheels.
