Iuz not leaving after confronted by St. Cuthbert

IRCC, Iuz and St. Cuthbert agree to "take it outside" during the fight with Hedrack. Problem is, I'm soloing the game with a Druid and I get to that point, Iuz shows up, then Cuthbert shows up, they chat a bit, Iuz raises zombies and Cuthbert heals me...then Cuthbert just stands there and Iuz continues to chase me around.

Is this part of the 6.0 modpack or a glitch?

 

OK, so is it a known issue or if I fight the battle again (perhaps from a different save file) can I avoid it?

EDIT: Ok, doesn't matter much down since I just downed Hedrack before he had a chance to call on Iuz

 

Hmm. Just wondering, If Iuz keeps fighting me, is there any way to defeat him? i.e does the game allow it?

 

More importantly, does he drop that cool black sword?

 

I think you even get a specific ending for it.

 

There are videos on YouTube of how to kill Iuz. Normally it involves keeping him constantly tripped so he cant speak to Cuthbert and your party pounds on him when he is down with Fragrach or Scather. I think he gives a lot of experience, but no good loot.

I just heard a rumor in an Verboboncian Inn that destroying the Skull will hamper Both the Old One and Zugtmoy? I know it does some damage to the fungus lady, but if I destroy the skull before I encounter Hedrack and Iuz (I assume that the latter is the Old one) will it make defeating Iuz easier?

 

^ No, but you get a special endgame slide.

 

Ok. I am still trying to find a way to defeat the Old One, nothing cooler than whip the floor with a god...

Hey Rocktoy, how did your group do it? What tactics or spells helps ya get the old Ugly?

 

My first guess would be to keep tripping him.

 

I guess that is tactic proven to work
