Not sure I got this, GA82. BTW, thank you for your comments re my health. I do appreciate them.
I hope you had a good day and the night goes well. My cough is better, but now I am experiencing the um side effects of the mega antibiotics. Since these particular antibiotics stay in your system for 5 - 6 days after you stop taking them, I guess I will have the side effects that long, too. Great. Meanwhile, I am eating as much yogurt as I can stuff down my throat. The last 2 weeks, I have felt so whiny and focused almost solely on being sick that I can barely stand myself. If it is warm enough out when I finally get over all this, I'd like nothing better than to sit in a hot tub and just soak. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the soon to be the darkest earth in centuries, The Nightly Mission: Dream of hot wet bubbles blasting against your skin, washing off all the cares of the last 2 weeks and sleep smiling. Wake up feeling clean and new. May the Lady smile on me and you too. G'Night.
If I had only kept my mouth shut instead of ANNOUNCING that I was up to secret distardly deeds...
'distardly' deeds? Must be very very naughty...worse than dastardly I guess? Starts looking around for her whacking paddle...
I hope you had a good day and the night goes well. The yogurt appears to be working,, happy days. I am a little better each day. Went outside today for the first time since I went to the doc. In the sun, it was very nice. Nippy in the shade. The Solstice full lunar eclipse is supposed to start at midnight tonight EST, and reach maximum eclipse at 3 am. But it looks to me like it is already starting. Looks almost like a double moon right now. Light your candles and incense, and say your Solstice prayer if you've a mind to. Welcome Winter, the end of the Great Wheel, the earth's resting period. Offer thanks for all you have been given. If you've a mind to. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the darkest earth, The Nightly Mission: A full lunar eclipse during a solstice is sure to energize your dreams. Sleep well. When you awaken, take some time to think about what your dreams might mean. Give thanks to the Lady and ask her to smile on you. G'Night.
Totally and completely missed the Solstice due to snow. Not happy about that. Glad you are on the mend, O Queen.* *Hugs are OK. I got my flu shot! oke:
I hope you had a good day and the night goes well. Amazing eclipse last night. The moon was a dark burnished orange. I am glad I saw it. Said my prayers, too. I went to town today and finished my Christmas shopping. I just got home and I left around 4pm. So 6 hrs, more or less. I am wiped out. 2 more days before I work. So I am going to invest in some...sleeping. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Fall into bed, collapse into deep sleep. Wake up and take lots of naps. May the Lady smile on me and you too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night goes well. Slept all day today, and the only thing that woke me up (a couple of times) were the cats. Still coughing but not enough to prevent sleeping. We'll see how long I make it awake tonight. New pic of Lexi. Hope it works. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Misbehaving kitties will nudge you awake with their wet noses. Still, they are comfort and nice when they cuddle. Sleep warm and dream sweet. Wake up and feed the cats. May the Lady smile on me and you too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night went well. Yawning my way through work tonight, but at least I am there. I would liked to have another week off, but with the upcoming holidays, I think that would make it really difficult for my boss to staff my shift. So here I am. The moon the other night, the day after the eclipse, was almost as striking as it was during the full eclipse. It rose huge and yellow. Even tonight, as I drove in to work, it was impressive. Another artic cold front moving down. The squirrels were taking advantage of the warmer weather yesterday. They were out in the back yard digging for acorns. Lexi was watching them, sitting on the bathroom window sill, intent, her yellow eyes fixed on the young squirrel closest to the window, her tail twitching. She was so funny yesterday. I had a clear plastic bowl, actually a large round container, sitting in the sink with a bit of water in it. The reflection from the light directly above it was dancing around on the surface of the water. Lexi was trying to catch the reflection. C Eventually, she discovered she could turn the bowl around by clawing at the bottom of it, and really got excited when this made the water move around, thus moving the reflection around even more. Finally, she turned the bowel upsidedown. It was really comical. She doesn't appear to be afraid of water. When I take a shower, she sits outside the shower door and immediately goes inside the enclosure when I am done and open the door. When I was a child, I had a cat that would jump into the bathtub with me when I took a bath. I think Lexi might do the same, given the chance. Time to make some coffee, if I want to stop yawning. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep warm and cosy, nested in whatever helps you drift off to slumber. Wake up and trudge into the kitchen to the coffee pot. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night is going well. Rod Humble, most recently one of Electronic Arts' executives, is now the CEO of Linden Labs, otherwise known as Second Life. Second Life has been having some real problems of late. I am not sure from a company standpoint what the problems are, but I know many users are more and more dissatisfied with Second Life. It is very irritating to lag so badly that your avatar can scarcely move and to crash so often. I've heard there appears to be an ongoing shake-up within SL, which does not appear to be improving anything. I went to a Christmas celebration this evening and had a very good time. I ate until I was stuffed. I hope you and yours have a very good Christmas, celebrated in whatever way is most meaningful to you. Merry Christmas! To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: If you eat enough, whether it is turkey or ham, you will get sleepy. Hopefully, you won't dream of flying pigs, but rather of Rudolf. Wake up and enjoy a most special day. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night went well. Let me tell you about my night so far. I went in the kitchen and the icemaker was flooding the floor. Ok. I've had this happen before, and all I had to do was unplug it, empty it, clean the drain out, mop the floor. Not so this time. The water source/tube/whatever is apparently cracked or broken. There is a thin stream of water shooting out of the grate/grill/whatever it is called. I find this out after unplugging it, emptying out the ice, mopping up all the water (a lot this time). Since the water is shooting out from between the slats of the grate/grill thing, it is likely that the problem is behind it. There is a screw holding the grate/grill thing to the icemaker. So I go to the metal shelf unit where the tools and other miscellaneous things are. No phillips head screwdriver. None. In the process of looking for a screwdriver, the shelf buckles. So now I have assorted things, big and small all over the floor in that area. Screws, nuts, a hammer, two tool boxes, you get the picture. I decide to try to contain the water that is shooting out of the icemaker, so Look around for something. It has to be something that will fit under the grate/grill thing, as it is dripping water all down the length of it (in addition to the other water shooting out). So I find a large cake pan or maybe it's a broiler pan, I don't know (you all know what a lousy cook I am, so how would I know something like that), about 3" high. It is full of lids, all neatly standing on their edges. I dump them out into a sink. The lids fill up the sink. The pan fits snugly under the grate/grill thing, and is long enough and wide enough to catch the water shooting out as well as the dripping water. But it looks to me like it will need to be emptied every hour, perhaps more often. So now I have to pick up all the junk on the floor by the sheves. Oh yes. I forgot. Our gate wouldn't close. So I walk down to the gate and take care of that problem. Walk back. And about half an hour later, it decides to open all by itself. And will not close this time, no matter what I do to it. However, it did close again just a little while ago. Hopefully, it will open again when someone needs to leave this morning. So I guess I am earning my salary tonight. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep is a good idea after things go a little crazy. Be happy when you wake up tomorrow, it's a day off. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night is going well. Driving home from work this morning, it was snowing. Tiny flakes that made snowflake patterns of water droplets on the windshield. But snow in the air. Here in central Florida. Still cloudy overhead and cold enough to really snow if the clouds released any more moisture, but evidently they aren't going to. Too bad. What chaos that would make here. I lived somewhere for a brief time where it simply never snowed. Surrounded on all sides by snow but due to geography or something, it never got that cold there. That was a city by the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. One morning, the roads were iced up. No one knew how to drive in those conditions, and of course didn't have studded tires. Terrific traffic jams, took forever to get to work. I almost wore out my clutch. I was the only one who made it in to work that morning...no one else even tried. I've lived in snow country, so I know how to drive in snow. Ice is trickier, but with that many cars crawling along, you just stay in the ruts where the ice has melted from the cars and you'll do fine. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep warm, deep in your blankets, warm jammies on, soft socks. Wake up and breathe...cold air is good for you. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
