    Butterflies

    Butterflies drifting by
    looking for flowery
    krispy kreme donuts
    riding on the breeze
    jewels in the sky

    Now I wonder when I
    see a butterfly
    freely floating by
    dancing on the air
    wings all a flutter

    Do they remember all
    the days and nights
    crawling on the ground
    up hill and down
    endlessly chewing

    Do they remember the
    transformation, was it
    a long dark night
    that they emerged from
    was there a blinding light

    Was there? Was there?

Dunno, but I'm the same way. In my younger days I called in sick alot, even when I was OK enough to minimally function for a day. Age and experience changed my way of thinking and acting, I guess. I have a hard time relaxing even on vacation, due to the work load that's inevitably piling up. And the additional stress I put upon myself for no good reason.

    Try being here. :poke:

Keep warm. Cat snuggles are great for cold nights.

I hope you had a good day and the night went well.

Still sick. The meds are helping, but not as fast as I'd like. I've already told my boss I can't come in Thursday and don't know about the rest of the weekend.

I am sooooo tired of being sick. And tired of talking about it, too.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Fall into sleep and stay
    there for awhile, letting
    your body heal.

    Wake up with less coughing.

    May the Lady smile
    on me and you too.

    G'Night.

I was unable to load Co8 last night, so there is no Nightly Mission.

I'm still sick, but getting better. Sleeping is still a problem, due to incessant coughing, so I doubt I'll work this weekend. And I'm out of leave. Bad month for a small paycheck.

Hope everyone slept well and stayed warm last night.

Got the same problem. The illness peaked Saturday, 5 days ago, but the recovery has taken longer. The coughing seems to have something to do with hydration.

My FB post is "Sick and tired of being sick and tired". Hang in the there, Kid.

Why? Same pics as here. I've given you guys enough clues anyway. ;)

My FB page is swarming with Guardian Angels. We all look the same because we all dress the same. There ARE some interesting videos on youtube, though...

I hope you had a good day and the night goes well.

I am doped up and still coughing. Using an inhaler and still coughing. Drinking as much water as I can stand. Still coughing. Taking steroids and still coughing. Eating soup, more soup and yet more soup and still coughing. Plus mega antibiotics, strong enough to cure an elephant I think, and still coughing.

There is a stimulant in the cough medicine and codeine. I think the inhaler also has a stimulant in it. I have no idea how steroids affect the system, but I know they have a bad reputation.

I am surprised I can still function. If I am.

And a good thing I am not at work. Imagine me answering a crisis line.

To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Sleep if you can
    and when you can.

    Climb out of bed
    when you can't.

    May the Lady smile
    on me and you too.

    G'Night.

try boiling pine honey with milk and drinking it slowly. after that chewing one or two dried cloves (you keep them in your mouth for a while until theyre wet and numbing, then chew and swallow)

I hope you had a good day and the night went well.

I think I am a bit better. I have my fingers crossed. Oh I hope so!

I believe I am allergic to pine pollen so pine honey might not be such a good idea.

The cloves...now that sounds interesting. I like cloves.

I'm with GA82...sick of being sick.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

Warm cuddly kitties are nice, even
when you are sick. Especially bratty
playful kitties. Oh to be able to sleep
    like a cat does...

And then to be able to wake up as quickly.

    May the Lady smile
    on me and you too.

    G'Night.

I hope you had a good day and the night goes well.

I am better. Not well, but better. Significantly better, actually slept for 6 hours last night.

The full moon, on the 21st, occurs on the winter solstice. It is also a full lunar eclipse. This is rather unusual. The last time this happened, according to Fox News, was 450 years ago. And it won't happen again during any of our lifetimes, unless there are some remarkable advances in medicine (available to the general public).

Here's a link if you are interested:

Looking out my kitchen window tonight at the sunset and there was a cloud that looked like a mountain with 3 fir trees and an oak tree on it. I hadn't been taking any of the meds either.

Speaking of which, the steroids are gone and so are the mega antibiotics. Just cough medicine and an inhaler. Progress.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Sleep warm and comfy,
adrift in the river of your
    dreams.

    Wake up grounded.

    May the Lady smile
    on me and you too.

    G'Night.
