So I have 4 saves on the go, and my party is just closing on lvl 5 and fighting the king frog and I just realise my holy long sword is gone. That is the only item missing but wow. Its still there on one save not that far back but I dunno where it went. I know the wench stole from me in the tavern in Nulb but she's always stolen gold. What could have happened?
She does sometimes steal equipment. It's happened to me before. You could try, if you have a rogue, to steal it back, or knock her out and take it back, or kill her and take it back. Or you could reload.
Finish the quests that involve the NPCs in there, then attempt to sleight of hand her; if you fail, knock her out (nonlethal); it'll mean everyone in there will turn hostile, and some of them are innocents that you'll have to make sure you don't kill but simply knock out. Watch out for AOOing them to death by accident.
Yeah I just found out it was ol' Dala who stole my sword! Geez. How do you steel a holy long sword from someones hand and not have them notice? She's got it in her hands now!! WTF?! I've tried steeling it back now 40 times but I just got her dagger, some ale, silver and tribal pendants and I guess some coppers. I guess I'll have to go on a killing spree. When she says, can I get something for ya hun? there should be a dialog optinion that says. "well I dunno.....maybe that holy long sword you STOLE FROM ME. You got any of those??"
Hi I only go to the Waterside Hostel once per game, and the only reason reason I go there is to clean the joint out, after catching Dalia picking pockets. To catch Dalia in the act, stop outside the Hostel. select the PC with the highest "Spot" score and have him/her go through the door. The rest of your party will follow, but this guarantees that Dalia will pick the pocket of the person most likely to catch her in the act. The Royal Canadian
yeah I just realized the only thing to really be that interesting in there is the triple cross quest and looting the chest. So its not really screwing anything up.
FYI, upcoming changes to the Waterside Hostel: Wat, Rentsch, his bodyguards, and Dala and Pearl will have their own faction, so that if a fight starts, the whole place won't go up in smoke (generic Nulb villagers and all). Also, Dala and Pearl will refrain from fighting, being as they're probably not so dumb as to charge to their near-certain demise just because Rentsch said "it's on!"
lol, that's true. I always thought it foolish they charged a high level sword fighter. I'm glad you guys are making this change because simply trying to steal my sword back and getting caught was causing everyone in the bar to want a piece of me! (as you guys I'm sure know from experience).
