Starting a new solo game

^ It's Kella. You have to have a druid to get her though, which makes her pretty useless. I suggest attacking until she turns back to elf, then killing to grab that druid ring. Then get a REAL hill giant from lvl 3 instead

Also, I'd say don't bother with a 1-man game, the max NPC count is 5 anyway. I remember that being different before, but maybe I'm wrong.

Anyway, I've been tempted into a game like that, I've created an elven CG ranger named Grandpa'a w/ bastard sword proficiency. I'm hoping to take Iuz down eventually Also, aiming for Screng company. Thus far I have Elmo, Pishella and Furnok. Will likely have to ditch Elmo for Otis later.

 

What, Grandpa's doesn't want to take on the whole temple all by himself, single handedly?

There are 2 ways that you can recruit Kella - either by already having a druid in your party or by starting the game with the True Neutral party alignment.

Doesn't Otis leave your party permanently the second time that you return to Nulb after recruiting him?

Avatar_do_grafite, are you sure that you can recruit Riana (i.e. Serena's sister in the Snake Pit in Nulb) into your party? If so, what are Riana's statistics (i.e. class, level, XP, attributes, feats, starting equipment, etc.)? I've never heard of anybody being able to recruit Riana into their party ever before!

So does Screng and company, apparently. One could, of course, just not come back to nulb, but I think I'll probably just make a priest for my party and roll with it.

 

Started today, and decided to go with a Paladin, just to be different. Went through 13 rolls and got 16,14,16,15,14,16, so good all around scores, with enough INT to get good skill points to pump diplomacy for some of the quests. Started with Elmo and Ronald for now, plan to add Furnok for the moathouse. Doing fine right now without much spellcasting, since Pishella is not available yet, and Spurnoir cost too much early on.

 

??? What do you mean? You can get her from the very start for a mere 50 gold.

Only a little note: I have experienced problems trying to hire Rianna with Lawful Good groups. I have no idea if the problem is just mine, or if is about LG people inside of a bothrel, or if there are some restrictio for all Lawful or Good aligned parties for the quests inside of the place.

 

This is an old thread I know, but I should mention, regarding Riana. The threads and character info on this site indicates that Serena must be in the party to get her. This is not necessary. I personally never ever spoke with Serena in the game. But in the two times that I have played it extensively I have recruited Riana.

Once I did so by actually trading Meleny for her... which was kinda weird. I was using an evil aligned party.

The other time I simply paid off her debt, and had a high charisma. And she joined.

So Serena is not necessary to get Riana (I might add I have no idea if CO8 mods changed this since I last played).
