After my party killed Lareth they rested right in his chamber and after rest two chars awaken diseased, one with 'filth fever' and another one with 'red ache'. I wonder if Lareth has been taken some experiments with chemical weapons.
Well you can get those type of maladies when you rest anywhere outside of an inn. Same as if you rest in the tower where the spider likes to lurk. You can usually get over those diseases by resting a few days at the inn. But with Lareth and the company that he likes to keep, it is no wonder you were sickened by sleeping in his bed.
I don't think that's true, you catch certain diseases from certain monsters, possibly from the dire rates, or more probably from the ghouls and ghast in the tombs. Diseases take a while to take effect, so you notice you have it after resting. You can either cast cure disease, have a paladin cure it, have Terjon cure it, or just rest until it goes away.
I agree. I only rest at the inn, the house in nulb, or at the castle in vb and I still come down with diseases. Seems like it happens more often than it used too.

I believe it depends on who you've fought recently. I've gotten diseased when resting shortly after fighting rats, ghouls and spiders. I have even woke up diseased in the inn, of course that might have just been from some of the "bar flies". heh heh
